We came up to attend dog shows in Ulverstone so we only spent the nights at Alice by the Sea. The accommodation was clean, well equipped, quiet and convenient. There was room undercover to park the dog trailer and it was easy to check on the dogs overnight. Good walks for the dogs close by so they could be exercised before and after the shows. There was an issue with communication of check in details prior to our arrival but that was minor. Would certainly stay again.

Location was perfect if you wanted to be close to Ferry terminal and airport although cafes and restaurants are a short drive away. It was quiet, bed was super comfortable and apartment was clean. It was great that the apartment was pet friendly. Surrounded by lovely gardens and easy to walk to a nice park area. I travelled with a friend the bathroom is located in the main bedroom so like an ensuite bathroom, this is the only bathroom so can be difficult if your friend needs to go to the toilet in the middle of the night and you're sleeping. I think it's more suitable for couples and their children.

Costal getaway!
We had a wonderful stay at Alice’s! Very convenient to get to from the airport, easy enough to get the ferry across to main side of town, and a lovely stroll away from the beach! Would recommend. Thanks again!

Wonderful host
Relaxing. Excellent location with walks along the seaside. Great communication with the owner. It was also a blessing to be able to stay where with my dog who has been unwell recently.

Peaceful beachside stay
We enjoyed our relaxing 3 night stay at Alice's By The Sea. Very clean, beds comfortable and facilities great in the 2 bedroomed apartment..the seats outside were in a little suntrap so great to sit and relax and take in the sea air. Loved the gardens also.It is situated in a quieter part of Devonport so you really need a car but can walk to a few local shops and supermarket in 15 mins and there is a short ferry ride over to the main town. Good value for money we would recommend.

Great base to explore Devonport
We stayed here on arrival and departure to Devonport. It’s very close to the Spirit of Tasmania. There’s a lovely walking path along the water.

Just what we needed
After an early start and a long day on the boat to Tassie, the comfort and the ease of check in was just what we needed! And the next day or two we were in a great location for walking and touring. Would happily stay again.

The listing made the property as expected. Room ready on arrival, undercover parking, dogs welcome. It was very hot, one fan provided but would have benefitted from a fan for second bedroom. Really close to the beach.
