Great stay !! One of the better cottages I’ve stayed at.

My family and I had a great weeklong stay at this spacious cabin, which was as pictured. Good, quiet location with Beach 5 and the general store within a 10-15min walk. James was a very responsive host. The cabin had pretty much everything we needed for a comfortable stay, but I’d recommend adding the following to the usual packing list: - Toiletries including soap - Laundry detergent and sheets - Extra toilet paper, paper towel/napkins - Nonstick frying pan - Good wine opener The golf cart was not working when we visited, but that didn’t negatively affect our stay. Be warned- Wifi is extremely slow. Frye Island is a wonderful, special place with clean, inviting water and friendly folks! We can’t wait to come back next year!

The house was actually nicer in person than I expected from the photos. It was comfortable and had a nice cabin feel without being too rustic. The layout was great for my group - myself, husband, our 2 year old and our 2 friends. Having the separate porch area made it easy to entertain our 2yo without waking up the others and having 2 bathrooms was key. The location was good. Beach 5 is within walking distance and seems to be one of the more popular beaches. Beach 6 wasn't far and we enjoyed that one as well. Also nice to be able to walk to the store/cafe. It was a shame the golf carts weren't working as that was a major reason I chose this particular property. The kitchen could use some new tools - anything you'd use for cooking (spatulas, large spoons, etc) were pretty flimsy and made it a challenge to cook anything. We had a great week and I plan to come back to Frye next year. Notes for next time: put gas in the car before you get to the island (no gas on the island), we used the car more than expected and got dangerously low on gas! Also I should have brought paper towels and laundry detergent. Overall we had a great time and got a feel for what a special place Frye Island is.

Overall it was a great trip! The house has many amenities that made our trip a success. We had some issues and James responded immediately. Thanks for letting us use your home!

We had a great stay. This is a very comfortable property for a family of 5 and in a great location.

I don’t know how many times we’ve stayed at this cabin now, but it is several. Always a great place to stay. We’ll be back next summer. James is a great owner and very responsive.

I was unaware that the ferry to the property was 35 dollars each round trip. From what I read the most you could pay was 20 dollars. We left the Island about 7 times. 35x7 equals 245 dollars. The owner gave us a one time 15 dollar round trip. The 35 dollars was never explained. Other than this the place was great and I would recommend it.

Another great vacation on Frye Island! The house is clean and location is great. The screened in porch is ideal.

Nicely appointed cottage with open design. Short ride from the ferry landing and Cafe/General Store. Wonderful screened-in porch with rear grilling deck. A great island experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Jim's house. The house was even better than we expected with lots of space,beautiful porches and a fire pit in the side yard. Beach 1 is the shortest walk, so that's where we took the dogs in the mornings for their swim and then with the golf cart we enjoyedany other beaches during the day. We had a great time. Thanks Jim!

What a great property! The house was private, yet still very close to everywhere we wanted to go -- beach, golf course, etc. The covered deck and screened in porch made even the rainy days enjoyable. The use of the golf cart was a huge bonus! Jim was great to work with very responsive to my questions.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay Frye Island-A happy family friendly environment. Accommodations met all our needs with space and quiet. Lovely porch for sharing meals. Will definitely visit again !

This was a very nice cottage loved the high ceilings with tongue and groove! Enjoyed the golf cart and we were close to the Frye’s Leap store and Restaurant. Recommend to any family!

The property was just as described ( nicer actually). All the conveniences of home in a super relaxing setting. Close to beach and golf. Home had great space , very clean. We loved the deck and closed in porch. Will definitely keep this on our list for the future.

We had a great weekend staying at Jim’s cabin. He was an awesome host and super responsive when I had a couple questions. The cabin is great, the porches were fun to relax on and the kitchen was perfect for making meals and enjoying them with our group. It was cool at night so the fireplace was fantastic to sit by and enjoy some board games. I will absolutely be back!

We had a wonderful week vacationing on Frye Island! The house worked great for us, plenty of space. Slight issue with the cleaning company when we arrived but the owner was very accommodating. Jim was always very quick to respond and helpful, great to work with!

Location was very close to our favorite beach and golf cart helped a lot. James was always quick to respond to my questions!

Very quiet, well-equipped and peaceful. The use of the golf cart was a huge bonus. Very close to Beach 5 and the ballfields too; excellent communication with the owner. The outdoor space with a large deck and a farmer's porch at the property is awesome.

This house is adorable and conveniently located. Lots of space to accommodate larger families. It was great having a washer and dryer and dishwasher! The outside has a great deal of space and the sunroom is delightful. Jim was great to work with and quickly answered questions/comments. Although there was an unexpected issue with cleaning, Jim was very accommodating!!

This cabin in the woods has all the modern conveniences. Owner responds very quickly. We didn’t want to leave for sure. Morning coffee on the porch followed by a walk to Beach 5 will surely start your day off with a smile.

We enjoyed a great 2week vacation on FI. The cabin is just as it appears and so close to everything. James was very responsive when/if a question arose. We would definitely return again. Thank you for having us!

We stayed for a week in June and the camp was perfect for our group (two couples and two young children). The washer, dryer, dishwasher, and golf cart are huge bonuses when traveling with kids. It was just the right size that we didn’t feel on top of on another, and the porches and sun room were great. Location is perfect for quick trips to the beach, the cafe, the playground, the ball park. Very comfortable camp, all around. If I could make one small improvement, it would be the upstairs double bed. It’s completely functional, but I think it would be more comfortable with a new frame or box spring. Hope to be back next year!

Wonderful 3 bdrm cabin in the woods on Frye Island. Cabin had plenty of space when our children visited. When the extended family visited the front, rear, and enclosed porch area easily accommodated everyone. This cabin had all the features plus being on Frye Island with tennis and pickle ball courts, golf course, many beaches, general store, great cafe, and lots of wildlife to watch with your early morning coffee. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 😀😀😀

This is an excellent property in a nice setting. The photos on the website are impressive but we were amazed at how lovely this camp is. It is clean and bright with plenty of room inside and two amazing decks outside. Short walk to the beach and store. We have been coming to Frye Island for over forty years and we would highly recommend this camp to anyone looking for a great vacation!
