We had a great time at this beautiful place! It is ideally situated between Algonquin Park and Huntsville on a quiet, relaxing lake. The small town of Dwight is a quick drive for supplies if you didn’t want to go to all the way to Huntsville (which is only 20-25 minutes away). The cottage and bunkie were clean, beautifully decorated and perfectly appointed. The kitchen was wonderfully organized & stocked with everything we needed and then some! We brought more than we needed to (all we really needed to bring was food and clothes). The lake is clean, sandy and shallow near the shore. Ideal for children and dogs. We really appreciated the flat lawn with a fire pit after having stayed at a cottage with multiple sets of stairs to get down to the water. We made use of the canoes, kayaks and paddle boards, all provided with the property. Definitely would recommend staying at Freddie’s to family and friends. Perfect family summer cottage time!

Freddies was everything we hoped for when we booked it. The cottage was so cozy, comfortable and very clean, we didn't want to leave! We had access to both the main cottage and the bunkie which was perfect for our group - 2 families each with one child. The cottage is extremely well stocked and organized with all the cooking essentials as well as books, puzzles and games. The living space was really cozy for rainy days and the beds were also very comfortable. We loved the beach area and the dock and took advantage of the paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. The cottage is so close to Algonquin park that we were able to do some day hikes as well. Bridget and Will were very responsive, we were never left waiting for an answer on anything we asked. We loved our time at Freddies and hope to book again for next year!

This beautifully updated cottage was perfect for our family get-together. All the necessities were provided and supplies were found close by. Mornings were extra special with fog coming off the lake providing a spectacular view. A wonderful week.

Such an incredible property! Hosts are amazing and thoughtful! cottage has everything and very clean!!!! Turn key stay for sure! Bunkie was so nicely done as well! We stayed with our teenage boys, they had a blast! Our dogs were comfortable as well which was important to us! I could live here! Such a beautiful spot! Definitely would book again and again!

We had a fantastic experience. There was everything we ever needed and more. The kiddos loved the beach and jumping off the lily pad. It was very clean and well kept. Highly recommend this cottage!

Pictures are misleading, neither building are easily accessible for anyone who uses walker/cane. Besides the main bedroom being spacious - the other ones had inches to move around. There was a foul smell that came from the sinks and from the toilet 's (which had brown water). The grill was VERY old and could use an upgrade. The "bunk house" had a musty smell and some sort privacy for each doorway would have been nice. The dock was nice and so was the dinner table.

The main cottage was lovely, the kitchen was beautiful and functional, we checked out the bunkie it also was perfect for another family/friends to stay. It place was great for our dogs, we really appreciated that there was a 3 foot fence on both sides of the property so we didn't have concerns that they would wander. The waterfront was really nice as well, the dock was great, Would have been nicer if there were steps down the front of the dock to access the water without walking through all the leaves etc that covered the lake bottom. Overall the place is a perfect getaway. We would definitely consider going again and recommending the place to our friends.

We were really looking forward to staying at the property and although it was tastefully decorated, kitchen was well equipped and the location was lovely the cottage cleanliness was not adequate. The hard surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom were marginally cleaned but kitchen shelving, bedrooms, bed frames and lamps were very dusty (a problem for those with asthma and allergies to dust), the floors were dusty (especially in corners and under beds). The windows were very dirty which we cleaned ourselves with the cleaning products provided and the mop for floors we went out to buy ourselves. Both door mats and kitchen mat were filthy. The only two hand towels provided were grey(they should be bleached), The queen bed mattress in the main cottage had a blood stain which is unacceptable. And the mattress/pillow covers heavily used and old. They didn’t smell very fresh at all. We were told that due to the Covid precautions everything would be freshly washed and replaced in between each guest. We went out and bought our own bedding. The living room carpet and couch covers smelled bad as well. We also found that the Bunkie was completely unusable due to the strong musty/damp smell, so I while my parents used the main cottage queen bedroom, my husband and I slept in the kids beds in the second bedroom. The patio chair cushions were filthy as if someone trampled them through mud. For the price per week the attention to cleanliness detail should be more attentive. I don’t understand how other reviews state that the property is clean, but upon our stay it was not.

Clean, wonderful location, very homey, wonderfully decorated with updated appliances. On the water, beautiful vistas, close to Algonquin Park and Huntsville. The property owner was very helpful.

This cottage is fabulous! Beautiful decor, modern appliances, fantastic view, steps from the water. And lots of water toys. It has everything you will need. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a fantastic week at Freddie’s! The cottage was perfect for our group. It was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. We especially appreciated all of the boats and Lily Pad, the well-appointed kitchen, and the wonderful yard/waterfront. The bunkie provided lots of space for our group of 7 to spread out. And thank you for being dog-friendly! Highly recommend!

My family and I enjoyed a great week at Freddies. Our grandchildren loved the beach and spent many hours of fun playing in the water. The adults enjoyed using the paddle boards and kayaks to explore the lake. The cottage is stocked with everything you need and Will is a great host! Would highly recommend.

Excellent property in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed the Kayaks, Canoe and Paddle Boards, as well as Badminton on the grass. Best fire pit around with plenty of firewood. The main cottage has everything you could ever need and then some. Will was wonderful to deal with and we all left our week’s vacation with nothing but wonderful memories!

This quintessential cottage far exceeded our expectations. Our hosts Will and Bridget, certainly put a great amount of energy into making this cottage not only beautiful but well appointed and very comfortable. From the minute we walked in the front door, we were mesmerized by all the great attention to detail and charm of every room, including the bunkie! The amazing design aesthetic and attention to small details is what truly sets this property apart from others. The kitchen was an absolute joy to cook in, and so well outfitted with everything imaginable! Every bedroom was cozy and very comfortable, making it hard to get up some mornings... However, the days we managed to be up early enough, we caught the stunning sunrise over the lake, and it truly took our breath away...just magical! We all appreciated the canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards, and I especially enjoyed sunbathing and relaxing on the lily pad... What an exquisite getaway, we miss it already, and can't wait to return! Thank you Will and Bridget for sharing your little gem with us, it was a lovely escape!

This cottage is a gem. The cottage itself is so wonderful and the location can’t be beat! This was our second year here and we have already booked again for 2022!

Great cottage for our group. Well equipped and cared for. Teens loved the Bunkie and all the water toys. Lake is beautiful. Renovations done this year are beautiful.

This property is a perfect little gem. The house is so comfortable and cozy! The property comes equipped with all sorts of fun water toys and has a lovely extended dock. We were five adults and one small dog and between the bunkie and the main house we had so much space and were incredibly comfortable. Everything is so well maintained and we couldn’t have asked for a better spot to escape the city! Owner was lovely and kept an open line of communication. Would 100% stay here again. Thank you!!

My family (5 adults, 1 newborn) could not have enjoyed our experience at this property any more than we did. The new renovations are beautiful, crisp, and provide a fantastic open concept. The bunkie is equally lovely and provides a great separate living and sleeping area. We used every water toy provided and particularly loved spending hours on the floating lily pad. We came across the listing due to the dog-friendly option and it was a perfect spot for our retrievers as well. The cottage is stocked with everything you need. 10/10 experience. Our family desperately wants to return!!

We loved our week at this property! It was clean, newly renovated and well appointed inside and out! The large deck overlooking the lake was amazing for outdoor dining and there were plenty of recreational amenities available, including kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards! The swimming was wonderful as was morning coffee on the dock! The proximity to Algonquin Park and Ragged Falls, provided the opportunity for some lovely day hikes. Thank you Will and Bridget for being welcoming hosts, we hope to be back at Freddie's again soon!

PRIVATE for your review only before posting. Enjoyed our stay, wonderful to have a place to bring dogs. Location convenient to Algonquin, stores, and surrounding tourist areas. Cottage needed some TLC: upon arrival we cleaned windows, floors, rugs, replaced mildew shower curtain, added doorway mats in cottage and Bunkie - also scrubbed Bunkie fridge as it was full of mould, glued the laminate trim edging on bathroom countertop as it was hanging off. Left everything in a better condition than when we arrived. We appreciate it is difficult to keep up on these items. Loved the property, beach entrance to lake, use of kayaks, great firepit and well stocked supplies for cleaning, cooking and garbage. Need to correct advertised information regarding WI FI is it NOT available from next door Cloverleaf.

Had a great time with my family at this cute cottage. It had everything we needed to enjoy a wonderful vacation. Very close to Algonquin Park and only an hour from Santa's Village. Cottage was exactly as pictured. Mornings on the deck were magical and kayak and canoes were put to good use. Thanks to the owners for providing a comfortable stay.

This cottage is just perfect for a great vacation. The lake is calm for canoing, kayaking, etc. It's minutes from Algonquin Park, the large town of Huntsville is a short drive, you can walk over the bridge for ice cream cones, and there is the excellent Dwight Market just down the road for great meats, fruits, vegetables and groceries. Also several hiking trails off all levels of difficulty stress within 5 to 20 minutes away.

Freddie’s Cottage was a perfect getaway for our family. The lake was beautiful, the dock and surrounding beach were where we spent most of our time. The cottage had everything we needed and our kids loved the bunkie. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quintessential Canadian cottage getaway.

Our Family enjoyed our stay very much. We had 7 Adults 1 baby and 2 Dogs . There was plenty of room for all! The owners really have thought of everything you would ever need. Great location close to everything. We will definitely book again 👍�

We have stayed here multiple times and always thoroughly enjoy ourselves whether on our own or with a few other couples. The cottage is perfect for relaxing by the fire and enjoying a big dinner together. The bunkie is great for having extra sleeping space and ideal if a few people want to retire to bed earlier than others! Thoroughly enjoyed morning coffee and later drinks on the dock or by the bonfire. The beach and property was also perfect for our dog who had the time of his life! Really is the perfect spot to get away for a quiet weekend and enjoy Muskoka with a few friends! We will definitely come back again
