I wound up staying 13 nights and sincerely appreciated the quiet of a country setting. The host was exceptional and very responsive to my needs and requests.

It was a great spot, that was just enough away from the busyness of the city, but perfect to run to for groceries, etc. Thank you Dawnette for your kindness & your wonderful oatmeal cookies, and it sure was so nice of you having the cottage ready a day early (since we had a last minute change of plans)!

We didn’t spend much time at the property because it was our daughter’s college graduation. however, the home was lovely and the host left us homemade cookies!

2nd time at property. Quick trip to Stillwater to visit our son. Love that’s it’s off and away but very close to the campus also. Just like last time lover the peace and serenity. Property owners are also a joy to work with and very accommodating. Excellent property we will continue to use if available!

The host made our stay very welcome and easy. It was a cute one bedroom with everything you might need including the very thoughtful homemade muffins and farm fresh eggs. We appreciated everything. Thank you again.

Unfortunately, we were there for such a short period of time, but we enjoyed it. The homemade cookies were a special touch.

Wonderful, relaxing stay! Stayed over the past weekend while visiting our son at OSU. Very peaceful! He loved the peace and quiet and took a few naps. We visited the nearby Lake McMurtry for a hike and MTB ride. Very close and convenient to town - 10 minutes. Played with the dogs and checked out the chickens and goats! Our kind of place! Would highly recommend and stay again without hesitation!

Enjoyed staying and relaxing here as a family during a visit with our daughter who attends OSU. Our 4-legged family member was especially thrilled to be able to visit his girl! Cozy and comfortable with delicious homemade peanut cookies to top it off!

Quiet and out of the way but very convenient to Stillwater. Everything was provided for our comfort and convenience. Clean and cozy. Great stay.

We really like staying here! The cottage is clean, the bed is comfortable and we love how quiet and peaceful it is. It’s a great place to stay for OSU football. The OSU and state of Oklahoma touches in the cottage are a nice touch. We hope to be back! Thanks for the cookies!

Awesome hospitality and delicious home baked cookies were waiting for us. The place is very sweet. Everything you need is there. We enjoyed the solitude. We sat on the porch soaking in the sound of the crickets. A family of deer made it's way past the farm, a kitty made itself comfy on a chair, and the fireflies were lovely to watch. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely look them up!

The location was great for us, charming farm cottage. Planned on staying about 2 weeks, ended up staying a month. The Hosts were great. From fresh baked snicker-doodles upon arrival to farm fresh eggs throughout the month as needed. The weather was hot, the AC was cool. I would recommend this place and stay again if I needed too.

We needed a place to stay as we were finishing packing up and moving out of our home in Stillwater. The property was exactly as advertised. We were very comfortable. The mattress was good. The shower was very nice. Dawnett left a generous supply of home made oatmeal cookies. Would definitely stay there again.

Our first vrbo rental and we enjoyed it so much. The location was so peaceful. With 3 kids and two small dogs hotels can be crazy and we hate having to try to keep them quiet. Renting this cottage was the best decision. The owner was so helpful, easy to get hold of. The little touches like fresh eggs and homemade cookies we a nice addition, Defiantly would go back.

I really enjoyed the Cowboy cottage and surrounding area. It is a birders paradise too. We popped in to see our daughter, who was working the game, and found a spot we will revisit. It was perfect for a short trip and it felt like home. They had a grill, fireplace and wood on patio, nice outdoor area, umbrella and loungers. We had everything w needed for a home cooked meal for our family. We had great weather and outstanding view of the stars! This spot was near campus but also felt like it was in the country. We had fresh farm eggs from the host. Took a walk around the area and some horses said hi. Our host was helpful and left us fresh baked cookies! Thank you!

enjoyed the property and the privacy. Owners were easy to contact and receptive. Only downside the condition of the stove could be improved. Would stay here again.

Was nice quiet and clean.

We loved staying at the cottage for an OSU football weekend! It is close enough to town and the campus to get places quickly, but far enough away from everything to be a peaceful respite at the end of a busy day. The cottage is very clean and includes everything you need, including homemade cookies (thank you!)! Love all of the OSU and Stillwater/Oklahoma touches. We did run into a closed road on the way in, so check your map closely for the best way to the cottage. We would love to come back!

We truly enjoyed our stay in Dawnett’s cottage. The rental and check-in process were seamless, Dawnett responded promptly, and the property was stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. In addition, the location near Lake McMurtry allowed us nice place to walk and enjoy the outdoors.

Very clean, homey and peaceful country setting.. Beds were sooo comfortable. Loved being in the country and enjoyed the deers hanging around.Took my 2 little dogs and they had so much fun running around the acreage. I will be booking all my stays in Stillwater at this property.

The positives of this property include a very nice owner who was very responsive to my needs, she left home-made cookies, fruit, and fresh eggs, and many amenities in the bathroom. The negatives include very poor internet, so poor, I could not reliably even reply to emails. If you need to get any kind of work done, the internet is not reliable enough. Additionally, I had very poor cell reception, which again, was a problem for productivity. Something I found particularly upsetting was that the bath towels smelled like cigarette smoke. I have the nose of a Bloodhound, so maybe some people would not notice. I also ended up throwing many things away that were 1-2 years expired in the refrigerator which was unbecoming. Lastly, something to be aware of is that she has two dogs that run around. This in itself is fine, however, I considered bringing my dog, and I'm glad I didn't. The dogs there barked and ran at me which would have upset my dog. So, overall, if you want a cute place in the country and you do not need to be productive, this would likely work well.
