There where no play toys in beach for the kids.

The hotel is perfectly placed right on the beach. There are sunbeds to use for free round the pool and on the private area of the beach yards from the sea. You can lie in a sunbed by the pool and look out into the sea- paradise! The restaurant and bar with lots of tables/ chairs even sofas, are right on the front so can eat or drink and look out into sea. Breakfast is included and is buffet style with something for everyone, from pastries to Greek yoghurt, honey and fruit, continental and cooked- there's even freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and will bring your drinks to you round the pool or bar. Rooms are clean and spacious. The manager goes out of his way to make you feel welcome; we ate at the restaurant a few nights and watched the sunset- the food was delicious and the manager gave us some backlava. Honestly can't recommend this hotel enough. The hotel is yards away from the main strip with supermarkets, bars restaurants and the bus stop - you should definitely jump the bus into Chania town €3 return takes 15 mins beautiful harbour and old town with shops, bars restaurants, museum, boat trips.. the only thing I can say is that sometimes we could hear noise from upstairs from bathroom/ furniture but find that in most places. All in all, a beautiful location and outstanding service! Thanks.

Stayed as a family (with a 7&9 year old) in one of the apartments. It was the end of the season but still pretty busy. They upgraded our apartment to a sea view when we arrived which was a great! Location is ideal right on a nice sandy beach and also a good sized-pool overlooking it (which in October was a little too cold to swim in though) but the sea was still a lovely temperature. It's also a touristy area (which we wanted) with lots of options for shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. You can also get a local bus to Chania old town pretty much right outside on the main road. We went for the half board option as thought it would be easier with the kids. The restaurant was good and differing options for the buffet every night. Food was good, not exceptional, but it was a buffet after all so no complaints. We also rented a car for a day to explore a little and head down the west coast which was super easy to do and lots of places offering cheap(ish) rentals. The apartment itself is in need or a little refurbishment but cant complain as the price was good for four people on half board, plus it had a huge balcony as well. Would definitely recommend for a family getaway.

The staff weren't too friendly. Not sure if it was because it was the end of the season and the hotel was about to close for 5 months or if it was just the staff themselves. Definitely not all, some were nice, smiley and engaging, others seemed to have a moody face on a lot of the time and were very disengaging.

Very helpfull and professional stuff, practical and very functional facilities; very good - hard matrases and pillows, good cleaning and quality of service.

Not properly ironed bedlinen, watered coffee.

The location is the only good thing about this place. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Our room was disgusting. We changed hotels after one night. It was filthy, had cigarette butts at the door, used hygiene articles on the floor, wall stains from previously killed insects and live insects, peeling paint, moldy ceilings, broken glass, damaged concrete. The hotels solution was to offer another room which we are sure would have been just as unacceptable as the one we started with. Do not stay here. The manager gave pedantic excuses and suggested we should have been fine with changing rooms. Hotel Thalassa down the road was beautiful and did not cost much more than this place.

fabulous location right on beach. Great views Lovely friendly staff. especially Yiannis . great choice at breakfast. the most comfortable beds i have slept in on holiday beautiful surroundings. sea view room a must. huge balcony although tbh too hot to use most days so spent time on beach with free sun loungers . Lovely pool but as usual loungers covered with towels as early as 7am. used when.more quiet after day on beach. Would definitely return

air-conditioning wouldn't go lower than 18 oc as it was extremely hot also couldn't get it to swing but a minor complaint

Location is excellent. Right down to the beach with an adequate pool. Rooms are nice with aircondition and a small kitchen.

The room was very spacious, the beds were very comfortable, the air con was also perfect. The breakfast had a lot to offer, something for everyone. This isn't a 5 star hotel, so don't expect top tier quality but lots of variation. Beach was good with lots of beach beds. Swimming pool was great. The road through platanias is vibrant with lots of good restaurants and live music bars. You couldn't hear this from the hotel as it is right on the beach.

It was quite expensive and value for money could have been better. Other than this, it was a really lovely stay. To note (not factored into our score or review), the beach had big waves on most days which meant swimming was difficult/ not allowed. There was a red flag on 2 of the days we were there. Thankfully there is a swimming pool instead!

Friendly staff and location was great with lots of restaurants nearby. Also had a few clubs down the road which was great for night life. Food was decent and the hotel restaurant had cheap priced food of large portions.

Room could be updated and food could be improved.
