The fridge in the room was not working and reception was unable to replace it. After many times phoning them over 24h and no solution, the solution was found directly with the room cleaner. I would expect more competence from the front desk. That problems have to be coordinated by the guests are not 5 star like…

Breakfast was good with good food variety available. Raymond from the business center was very helpful when we asked for help to get our Covid test done in town. Personally came to say goodbye when we left the hotel. The room was very comfortable with great views from the balcony overlooking the sea.

It's a pity that you are not allowed to swim at the beach in front of the hotel. Wish we were made aware of this as we would have stayed at another hotel that had swimming access at the beach.

The overhead waterfall shower and the bathtub. Man How restaurant was exceptional. All staff we're very friendly and helpful.

$ 4000 Rmb for 3 nights and the view from the room was mostly a wall and the sound of machinery. Everything was overpriced to a ridiculous degree. My emails to the property went completely unanswered before I arrived.

There was construction, the outdoor pool was closed, the beach was open but the sea was closed!!! Yes you read that correctly!!! You could lay on the sand but you could not swim!!!!! I feel this hotel would be nice even lovely if all the amenities were available. Unfortunately nothing was open ... the spa was also closed! Thankfully I was just staying 1 night.

Location can't be beat, beachfront property, with outdoor and indoor pool. The beach in front is beautiful. The hotel is really nice and stuff super friendly.

Food! really really really needs improvement. The breakfast buffet is great, but the rest is terrible. The a la carte menu hasn't changed in ages, the food options are really limited and really bad! Besides this, please be aware you will need to wait for 1 hour for a simple spaghetti dish. It's really expensive and bad. The pizza is made out of premade pizza base, the Green curry is awful, super spicy, and using glutinous rice, the one is used as a side dish in traditional china. Food really needs improvement. The other downside is that guards will not let you swim in the ocean. It's really silly, they keep repeating, the ocean is not open yet.

If you have the meituan app, you can order food from Dapeng (3-5 km away). You will need to go to the lobby to pick up your order, as they are not allowed into the hotel. You will normally get your order within a half hour. The rooms are very nice. The thread counts are high on the bedding and the mattress is of a good quality. The plugins have all the input options, so any electronic device can be used. The room temperature is easy to adjust. The floors have minimal carpeting, so you don’t have to worry about wet spots from the trips to the beach or pool. The showers have great water pressure. The toilet alcove is roomy, although it is missing a fan. The indoor pool is in the basement. It is a 25 meter, 4 lane pool with no lane lines. The temperature is kept at 28 degrees. It is open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. The 24 hour gym is next to the pool. It has limited weights (the free weights only go up to 22 kg) and lots of cardio equipment.

When placing my reservation, I had this vision of sitting on balcony of my room, overlooking the ocean and relaxing with a good book. All the pictures on the website would lead me to believe this was an option. So I paid extra for the “sea view.” What I got was a view of the pool, which was now drained and the sounds of construction as the pool was being repaired. If I leaned out over the railing of the balcony, I could see the sea, but it was mostly blocked by the trees. The construction is supposed to start at 9:00 am and go until 6:00 pm, but it actually starts about 7:30 am. I spoke to the front staff about my disappointment in my room and accommodations. They offered to switch my rooms for a hefty price increase. I declined. The beach is nice. But since it is in China, you will see trash in the sand. And because of the massive amounts of construction going on with the area around it, you get to experience the occasional excavator driving up and down the beach. There are signs up that say not to swim in the sea because of the currents. The “swim at your own peril,” part was oddly amusing to me. A beach umbrella can be rented for 3 hours for 180 RMB ($27.52) and a beach chair for 100 RMB ($15.29) This hotel is not for foreigners. For all the 5-star hotels we have stayed in over the years in Shenzhen, this is the first one without an English speaking staff. Every conversation is through translators. There are some managers on site who speaks rudimentary English, but they are always busy. So after waiting for extended periods of time for a person we could speak with, we would give up and try to communicate with our phones. The outdoor pool is closed from November through April. The kids play area was closed down during our stay. The spa was closed down as well. So was the cinema. The food is what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The dinner buffet is 468 RMB ($71.54) per person and is okay. The breakfast buffet is 198 RMB ($30.
