Fantastic as ever favourite place in Puerto

La atención del personal. Llegué sobre las 20 horas al hotel sin batería en el móvil, necesitaba hacer una llamada urgente y pedí un teléfono público para hacer la llamada y para mí sorpresa, según me dijo la persona de recepción, en el hotel no había ningún teléfono desde el que pudiera llamar. Tuve que salir a la calle a buscar un locutorio. La falta de empatía del recepcionista es me dejó más que sorprendida.

What I did not like spoilt my stay there

My reservation was accepted by the hotel four months in advance of my stay. I asked for a quiet room and what I got was a room located just below the roof tarrace were a demolishing work was underway. I suffered for two weeks a jack hammering and hammer demolishing generated haevy noise. I asked booking.com to cancel that stay and move me to another facility. I did not get any help from booking.com.

We loved the layout and the size of the room, the facilities, the location of the hotel, the kindness of the receptionist. We could also buy tickets for Loro Parque and La Gomera directly from the hotel which was a big plus. We discovered late the pool on the roof, because we visited the surroundings most of the time, but it's a cool place to get some sun if you don't want to go to the beach (which is close). We also had breakfast there for 2 or 3 days and we were very happy for the money that we payed. The hotel serves also dinners, but we didn't try them. I still find it cool though. We had also a rented car so the parking was a small issue. But we found parking places in the street and in a nearby private parking.

I liked the ground floor bar and the staff, I liked the roof top terrace/pool area. I liked the renovated room with fresh kitchen, toilet, goodshower etc and proper sheets on the bed. Very convenient location to the main bus station and big supermarket just few steps away and the easy stroll to the sandy black beach.

I didn't like the small balcony with street view where you only got sunlight around 8 to 9 in the morning. We ordered some small food from the hotel's ground floor restaurant to take away to the roof top terrace and there were only few items on the menu, literally, and the taste was awful. Lack of decent/normal priced restaurants near by. I guess this was wrong area for that, quite far away from restaurant area.

Location close to the ocean, ergonomic and functional utilities in the room and bathroom, comfortable beds, pool on the roof with sun bathing area

Wardrobes could have doors. During dinners the drinks all had to be purchased (no free water, despite the water dispensing machine standing in the dining room, but it was turned off and covered).
