The location is superb; not just in the immediate vicinity with the beautiful Etang, but also the ease of access to explore the wider area. Easy to find with SatNav and easy to shop for food in Sigean. We spent 15 nights here in October (the longest we have stayed anywhere) and never felt that there wasn't enough to keep us occupied. There are plenty of places outside to sit in the sun or shade and inside we were very comfortable in the evenings. We travelled in our van with a motorbike inside and appreciated the large, gated parking area to leave either the van or bike while we went out for the day. Although in need of a small amount of TLC, this is a VERY special place and we felt very much at home. The peace and quiet is wonderful. Denys is a fabulous host; there is a lot of information on his website Anse de l'Olivier prior to a stay and while we were there he periodically checked on us via WhatsApp to make sure we were ok or give information on local events - perfect! Not a problem for us, but to stay here the location needs to be respected and appreciated - for example, you need to drink bottled water.

This place is heaven on earth. I can't imagine a nicer place to stay. I immediately felt at home, it is cosy, warm, with a nice fireplace, beautifully and practically furnished with everything you need. And the owner ensures that you lack nothing. The place where it is located is great: a beautiful lake with Flamingos flying over in the morning and standing in the lake almost in front of the house. The area is great for walking and the small village is very nice.

A magnificent stay in a paradisiacal natural environment, where each glance provokes a moment of magic: the sun reflecting on the water, a band of flamingos which flies over, a small bird which lands a few meters away, the sound of a jumping fish, the sound of crickets and cicadas… A wonderful stay in a very comfortable house with very professional and friendly support. The ideal mix for a moment of rest and serenity, relaxation and total disconnection! Paradise on earth apparently exists ;-)

What a beautiful location and regional park!

This was indeed one of my most fabulous stay I had - and I travel frequently. The house - although in a quite remote location - has a luxury equipment with the love for details: fully equipped kitchen incl. dishwasher, AC, well working WiFi (not too fast but it works reliably) etc. I really liked the interior decoration with some fancy details, but loved most the big deck with the fantastic view over the étang. Definitely the perfect place for people who seek peace and quietness in the countryside. Denys is the most thoughtful and likeable host I have met so far. He makes you really feel welcomed and safe. His generosity is stunning: fresh fish from the sea and self-made white wine. Thank you Denys - I had a great time and will definitely come back again!

This is a note for Booking.com: you really should disclose additional costs such as cleaning fee or fee for linen etc. BEFORE the final booking step (as AirBnB does): It was a surprise to see in the end that additional costs were charged after the payment process which were not disclosed in advanced. That's not very customer-friendly.
