What a delightful place this is. Very tastefully decorated and so peaceful. Such joy to sit on the deck in the early morn to take in the sounds of the creek nearby, we did a great deal of chilling. Plenty of CD musical selections as well as DVD'S, books, games and a wonderful fireplace. Healesville offers great food and coffee too. You cannot go wrong and so close to Melbourne. I love our weekend getaway. My sister and I stayed here it was so peaceful and serene. Surround by bush land and native birds, we felt a million miles from the real world. A short drive to the delightful township of Healesville (can recommend Chachi Yarra Valley for excellent service, food and coffee). Loved it. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful property right next to the national park. Very much enjoyed our stay. All the comforts of home with nature on your doorstep.

Fabulous location with the forest as your neighbour. Perfect for a couple of days away with its proximity to Melbourne and everything you need 10 minutes away in Healesville. We’ll be back.

Our family really enjoyed a laid back weekend staying at the Nest, with its serene bush outlook and peace and quiet. The mix of weather allowed us to enjoy the fire and play some of the games provided, while also enjoying a number of walks nearby and accessing the creek at the back of the property. It was really clean, and had a great bath and kitchen. The birdlife was another plus and we all came away feeling relaxed.

We loved the house , great outlook comfortable and welcoming ! Maybe some more deck chairs for the deck would be the only suggestion .

The house was very clean and comfortable. The location is absolutely amazing, you feel as though you are so far from everything but yet so close. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home with everything you need. Loved the cosy fire and the parrots that greeted us in the mornings. Lots to do in the area- great food/ wine and scenery.

The house is very comfortable, clean and stylish. The bedrooms are so comfortable and the bed linen was fresh and crisp. We felt instantly relaxed in the house. But the location is what makes it the perfect place to relax. All you can see from the living area is trees. It was so quiet at night. All you can hear is the creek flowing. In the day there are lots of birds and the bird seed provided by the owners makes for a fun activity, in theme with the name of the place. I honestly loved staying in this house.

What a stunning location and simply gorgeous cottage style accommodation. We loved our stay, but found a few things really brought it down for us..... Unfortunately it was overshadowed by a lack of care and attention to detail especially around the cleanliness of the kitchen area and mentioned items available on the website. Upon arrival the property appeared scruffy and unkempt, ragwort growing and grass thigh high around the veranda edges. A little garden just growing weeds, not attended in a while. The stove top around temp knobs and toaster next to it was covered in grease splatter, and food matter, the oven dirty inside and pot drawer greasy, covered in crumbs and we had to scrub a pan with fat and food debris still on it. We found plates with food on them ( from dishwasher) To then find the sponges supplied were obviously used. The dish brush was actually brown with grease. When we used the bin the door looked stained as we know can happen, but it wiped off. The coffee machine doesn't work properly and the coffee supplied was so old it needs tossing out. The hot chocolate tasted stale, it was a year out of date, as was a most items in the pantry supplied by the property. if you state you provide something my suggestion is make sure it's OK. and working and the pantry in date. The wood fire needs attention as it can't be shut down effectively, the timber virtually evaporated, it's a shame as we would have only needed a 3rd of the timber. We ran out There was the air conditioning but we booked for the ambience of what was on offer and we wanted a beautiful evening by the relaxing by the fire. Part of the timber steps coming off the veranda has rotted and coming away. An extra loo roll than needed just feels better. The cupboard its kept in needs a proper handle I couldn't open it. I had to shove my arm down from the top. We are well aware it's a bush block but the map indicates a nice short pathway walk to the creek, we found it so overgrown unvisible hazardous we couldn't see a path at all. It was dangerous and we couldn't tell it was a path even. State its steep scrub. I felt overpriced and no matter where I've stayed or how simple the accommodation I've never come across this. Things kept adding up. It felt overpriced and not cared for. The scratch map is clearly out of date. If you say you have it,offer it to a fair standard

Beautiful spot peaceful, feeding the birds out back great time

This is a really lovely spot. The house is open and airy; comfortable with perfectly understated decorative touches. I would 100% recommend for when you just need to get away from the city and experience tranquility for a while.

We had a beautiful weekend away, the house has everything you need, you really feel like you are in the bush, it’s a very relaxing environment. Loved the fire place! Would definitely recommend to stay for a little getaway.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at The Nest. It is a most peaceful location with abundant birdlife and the majestic Mountain Ash forest. The house is very comfortable and is a convenient base from which to explore Healesville and the Yarra Valley.

Could not be happier with our stay at The Nest. Property was amazingly private but only 10 minutes ($12 cab ride) to the center of Healesville. Perfect base for exploring the wineries, restaurants and shops that the Yarra Valley has to offer. The pictures don't do the house justice, absolutely stunning and plenty of room for two couples. Waking up to the babbling creek was a great surprise! We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at “The Nest”. The house is cozy, clean and well stocked. My son enjoyed feeding the bird life and viewing the wildlife (multitude of different birds, wombats and kangaroos). The view from the lounge is picture perfect - a glass of red and the roaring fire. Perfect getaway. We will definitely be back!

The nest is so close to nature, yet only a short drive to many of the wonderful attractions around Healsville. But we could have just stayed home at the property as it was so relaxing being that close to nature and hand feeding the birds.We would be back.

We had a perfect weekend away and even spotted the lyre birds and watched them singing.

Everything about the place was amazing From the furniture and the way the house is set up. The fire place is amazing. The tranquil setting that surrounds the property and the birds that come out every morning

Had a very enjoyable stay and the Cabin is set up and furnished with a touch of class. The surrounding bush, the sound of the creek, wood fire made for a very relaxing stay. We would stay again but it was overpriced at over $1,000.00 for two nights especially when the rates state from $195.00 per night. It's a shame because it really was relaxing and we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you very much Anna And Nick to share your beautyful property with us , me and my little family are had a wonderful time while we there in the last few days, we're most enjoyed the Nature itself birds and Trees my husband is a bird watching so he is much happy also my daughter she is over the moon when the King Parrots came to visit and landed on her arms and shoulder then she can feed them by hands. The weather was perfect we don't event need the Fire or Air condition the whole time we there. The house was very well setup compernations with modern and old style, very warm and cosy and nice some clean. We definitely love to come back and hope to stay abit longer next time. This place is an oasis nestled in the forest but is a short 6 minute drive to the centre of town! The beds were incredibly comfortable and the little extras left by Anna and Nick were an added bonus. I have already tried to book again but it's unavailable. I'll be keeping a close eye on this place for future stays.
