Very clean. Good location/walking distance to the music venue that I was there for. Lots of free coffee/tea. Free car parking on site.

Would've been nice to have an option to get breakfast there.

The staff were helpful. The room was clean and the bathroom was big. The decoration in the hotel was amazing, a lot of history and quirky trinkets.

Decor of room a little tired. A very generous cooked breakfast and for the price even better. My only quibble - and I have this at 8out of 10 places I stay - is the cheap low quality sausage. I despair that in a country like ours we so often serve up the lowest common denominator banger when it’s something our country makes so well. I know margins have to be respected but that old cash and carry link again! End of rant!

Structural damage...

Liked the soundproofing of Edwardian windows was surprisingly good. Proprietor willing to talk and be friendly and helpful. Liked the unusual shape of the room and dual aspect window. Some interesting historical artefacts and lovely wood panelling.

Car park looked neglected and in need of a sweep.

Keith the host was very nice gentleman, very pleasant and friendly, room was very clean and tidy, and also had tea and coffee in room. Breakfast was first class, and would recommend to others .Would stay there again
