The room was large and comfortable, very clean and organized, and the hotel itself was spacious and nicely decorated. There were a variety of options for breakfast. The staff was helpful.

Det var ganska dyrt redan vid bokning. Att utöver det betala 48 pund (12 per person) för frukost gjorde att det blev samma pris som för ett hotell med betydligt högre standard där frukost ingår. Det fanns mögel ovanför fönstret. Utanför hotellet var det många drogpåverkade människor, det kändes inte helt tryggt.

Wir haben uns dieses Hotel ausgesucht da es in der ersten Reihe zum Strand liegt. Wir wussten das es an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße anliegt und das hat man natürlich am Tage sehr gemerkt. Wir bewohnten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick das ein geräumiges und neues Bad hatte. Das Personal war zu jedem Zeitpunkt aufgeschlossen und freundlich und für unsere kleineren Anliegen wurde sofort eine Lösung gefunden. Das Frühstück war amerikanisch/britisch und wurde von uns direkt mit eingebucht. Es wurde jeden Tag frisch und ansprechend präsentiert hat aber keine Abwechslung geboten.

Leider ist das Hotel wirklich in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten zwar einen Balkon, der allerdings nicht zum verweilen einlud. Ausnahmslos alle Teppichböden, Gardienen, Möbel und Polster waren fleckig und abgewohnt. Das Ausklappsofa von unseren Kindern war wirklich unbequem und selbst unsere Kleinste hat nach wenigen Nächten auf Rückenschmerzen geklagt. Das Bad war sehr nett gemacht und sauber aber für große Menschen nicht geeignet. Die Dusche war wirklich sehr eng und niedrig. Was auch sehr negativ auffiel, der Haupteingang vom Hotel war sehr dreckig, ungepflegt und fast abschreckend. Im Wohlfühlfaktor ist noch gaanz viel Luft nach oben!

Il rapporto informativo tra booking e la struttura alberghiera. Assente Dopo aver prenotato in largo anticipo e pagato anticipatamente, non risultavo nella lista del pernottanti. Fortunatamente con pazienza e perdita di tempo, abbiamo risolto la situazione.

The location is excellent. Breakfast is not worth it for Vegetarian & Indian Travellers. Please be careful before booking on third-party applications because you won't get any preference. We booked a premium double room with a sofa bed but god knows which type of category they allot the room and vested our two to three hours.

The type of rooms category was not cleared & staff did not help justify the room type, according to availability of the allot and fool us.

Filthy/Dirty- found black mould in overflow hole of bathroom basin and around bath tub. They came to clean it after complaint was made. Mould growing on window sill behind the secondary glazing. Ironing board in wardrobe had seen better days (awful). Ceiling had evidence of water leak damage ( water stains). Wallpaper peeling off the wall and stains. Extractor fan not working in bathroom. Paper thin walls - heard everything next door. Room door rattled a lot when other bedroom doors slammed shut. Food left on floor in restaurant area overnight. Lift was so shaky and noisy, like it was on it’s last legs. Full room refurbishment needed. Will not stay at Holiday Inn again ( part of IHG….surprised!!)

The room decor is dated. Lift from basement car park to the ground floor entrance was not working.

Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Gute Lage direkt am Strand und in der Nähe des Piers, trotzdem waren die Zimmer erstaunlich ruhig.

Das Bett war sehr schmal obwohl das Zimmer recht groß war. Die Ausstattung war in die Jahre gekommen, die Tapete wellte oder löste sich an einigen Stellen, der Teppich war verschmutzt, die Fugen in der Dusche extrem dreckig, das Bad hatte eine sehr tiefe Toilette und Waschbecken. Nur die nötigsten Pflegeprodukte, Hausschuhe wie beschrieben waren nicht vorhanden. Magere Auswahl an Tee und Kaffee, Wasser gab es garnicht. Man spart an allen Ecken. Im Nachbarzimmer wurde Essen aufs Zimmer bestellt, das schmutzige Geschirr stand Stunden später immer noch auf dem Flur.

Callum and Amy at the bar were welcoming, we enjoyed breakfast. Complementary crisps and drinks. Great location.

I really do struggle to believe this is a 4 star hotel? Somethings not right there - maybe it’s due to location? As the rooms are not 4 stars! The lobby is certainly nothing like the rooms the lobby is nice and inviting. The bed room is soo dated and dirty - the walls (see picture) the toilet struggles to go down - no toilet brush. Toilet roll provided was used my previous guests. My husband kept smelling urine but we believed it may have been the carpet and it was late at night our children was asleep so we didn’t investigate BUT Up on stripping the bed as we always do before checking out we was sickened to see the stains on the mattress which has clearly been there’s for a long long time as there was several stains I left stripping it I did not want to see the rest of the mattress it turned my belly! House keeping must of known the mattress was like that as every time they changed it they would have seen it! how on earth can you think this is acceptable I didn’t check my kids mattress but I dread to think. We ate in the restaurant which was over priced, ham and mushroom pizza £16.50 :| we also had 3 dishes for £22 which was awful we didn’t eat the chicken and spring rolls got sent back due to being freezing (even bar people agreed and was shocked) they did offer a 25% refund but not received that yet :/! It was a special occasion as I added to the notes and this hotel really disappointed us😢 it’s in need of a big make over! . We was never asked on check out how our stay was and that was probably for the best as I would have been there all morning, really upsetting!

The room was clean. Check-in was fast, and the staff was friendly. The inclusive breakfast was nice, too. Food was not cheap tasting.

It could have been done with a new paint job. The lift was out of order, but none of these things really impacted my stay.

First room cold and damp, so asked to change rooms, which reception did with no issues. Hairdryer blow up and phone to reception didnt work in second room. Had to go to reception and ask for new hairdryer. Price cheaper direct with IHG, so shouldnt have booked with booking.com on this occasion, will look at it better next time, also dont get rewards via booking.com if not direct with IHG. The hotel didnt know about our paid parking and it was overpriced with booking.com.

Hotel tired and care worn. Not really what you would expect from Holiday Inn. Chosen specifically for location, and the car parking, it delivered on both as a few minutes walk from Brighton Centre
