Love this sleepy beautiful little town. The staff were lovely, the room was spacious and comfortable. Lots of stairs, but very worth the climb for the view!!
I feel like I could give this property 10/10 across the board if the floors had been cleaner. The carpet was pretty stained and worn, and needed a good vacuum. Otherwise the suite was clean and comfortable!

Breakfast ideal good eggs benedict
Dinner vrry good choice
2.5
Restaurant was good. Location was good. although there was no other option in the town and the sea view was oil rigs which were not mentioned
the hotel was outdated. There was no blind in the bathroom and even the toilet roll holder was broken. it was expensive for what it was. we were shocked to be told breakfast was not included. Apparently booking.com charge the hotel so they have to recoup the money from guests! we declined the extra charge and so were told to checkout by 1 0.00. we were harassed to settle the bill before 10 cannot recommend

Probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! The room and all public areas were warm and clean, and were decorated and furnished to a high standard. The location was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I loved staying here.
There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like.

Great location with easy parking

Friendly relaxed atmosphere , lovely staff
Delicious dinner
Didn’t like the fact that I phoned the hotel maybe 20 times during the 2 days before arrival and the phone was never answered !!
My friend and I booked a twin room , we’re given a double room , couldn’t exchange , ! Room was lovely !
Breakfast wasn’t included in the cost , which was quite expensive ,and there was nowhere else open in the village at the time we required breakfast ,

quaint village location. good size room. excellent bath
weary and tired looking seaside old hotel that could use some LTC! relatively very expensive. although we enjoyed the view of the oil rig graveyard we were surprised to see it when we arrived as it was not mentioned

location, (location, location!)
not open throughout the week
1.5
comfortable bed!
The price was way to much, bedroom windows would not open, unkept appearance with cracked windows. No staff around in the morning to enable us to checkout and pay the bill properly ended up leaving the key on a table in hall way, breakfast was not included in cost they wanted a further £16 per person if we wanted it(we didn’t)
we had Fish and Chips and Hake with vegetables, a couple of drinks which somehow totalled £85! we were told we needed to book a table as they would not be able to accommodate food from 7.30pm due to a large party booking we were still sat there at 8pm and no large party had arrived so instead of us having to eat at 6pm we could have eaten later, the lady who served us was very nice, so for a Total of £230 it was way to expensive, had someone been there for checkout we could have also told them the handle on shower door had fallen off whoever cleaned the room should have noticed this, so all in all a very tired hotel which needs to revisit their costs if they do not intend to bring the hotel up a standard which would then warrant these prices

Beautiful location, excellent breakfast & friendly staff. Dinner was excellent.
En-suite not finished very well around shower & painted wall needs a freshen up. Some hooks on bathroom door would be good to hang towels. Toilet brush requires replacing. Some cracks at high level on bedroom ceiling

Staff were very friendly,
Price of breakfast, a choice of just continental breakfast would have been helpful

Historic building in a lovely town, very cosy & comfortable, elegant furnishings, beautiful view from the room and very welcoming staff.

Very pleasant hotel
The views of oil & gas rigs.
The continental breakfast very poor for the price, boiled eggs, croissants, orange juice, cereal & milk, we asked for toast the owner said l will have to go & buy a loaf of bread.

The room was comfortable and the food tasty
Bags of laundry stored in the fire exit. The most expensive of the 7 hotels we stayed at during our tour yet not offering anything to justify the premium price.
2.5
Lovely view and continental breakfast was delivered to our room. Evening meals were very good.
Booked an ensuite room, but was contacted by the hotel, to say that it wasn't actually an ensuite. We had our own bathroom, but it was across the corridor. Shower, over the bath was very dated and the bath took hours to drain. Room had cracked windows and the smallest TV I had ever seen. Room in need of some updating. Coffee mugs in room were very dirty.

Staff ( and locals) were exceptionally friendly and polite. They go out of their way to ensure that you have a pleasant stay.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location with fantastic sea view.
Excellent food which was great value for money.

Decent hotel with newish bathrooms. Dog friendly. Lovely views. Staff very hardworking and helpful.
Was a bit overpriced. Breakfast served in room due to covid so no cooked options for breakfast.
4.5
Excellent location. Care had been taken to meet Covid requirements and that effort was evident from arrival to departure. The staff were very helpful, and the seafood dinner really did justice to the local produce.
The room was large and clean and whoever came up with the idea of the breakfast box deserves a bonus..!
No faults, the hotel was ideal for our stay.

Location
No shower. The building generally could do with being refurbished. Bit tired.
4.4
The hotel is in a fantastic location, is clean and neat, the staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was superb, really felt special. It was blissfully silent and tastefully decorated, and we had one of the best night's sleep in months! We looked out onto a small sandy beach, and the dramatic oil platforms of the Cromarty coast - an unusual sight! Having the bar downstairs with food options, and lots of cafes nearby was a real bonus. The vegetarian breakfast was big and utterly delicious!
Unfortunately our bath and shower was not useable - the temperature couldn't be adjusted so it was burning hot (too hot to put on your skin) Even if it hadn't been, the shower couldn't be used except by holding it over yourself, which was not exactly practical. We were disappointed that despite bringing it up with the person on reception, they made no offer to compensate us, even though we'd not been abe to actually wash in this 'luxury queen room'!
