The location and cleanliness

No undercover parking for Room no 1. No electric blankets on bed No hand rails in shower No heating in designated smoking area… no ashtrays on tables either. A gas patio heater would suffice!

Excellent country motel. It was so clean and cozy. Everything was new and fresh also plenty of room for a family of 4.

The shower curtain didn’t really do it’s job, water went everywhere.

The Hotel is close to town but away from noise. Great for cyclists as they have a bike storage room digitally accessible with room code. It also has security camera so your bikes are safe. Great place to stay we will definitely be back.

Hopefully the pub will reopen after renovations for drinks and bistro.

nothing really, all automated check in that worked well but strange not have any human contact. but all went smoothly irrespective of no one there.

The room was very clean, modern & comfortable. The location is within walking distance to the local restaurants & supermarket.

The bathroom is very small & a little bit of a challenge when sharing the room with a colleague.

On day 2 when I did not get a knock on the door to replenish the supplies (as you usually do when you stay at a hotel or motel, if you are in the room) for which I have paid for as part of the room tariff for the day, such as soap, milk, tea and a set of towels, I called their contact number. I politely asked if I could get my towels changed and the above supplies replenished. To which I was told that she (who subsequently I realised was the owner, as she told me, when I asked who I was talking to, after she told me I didn’t need to know her name, as she was extremely rude to me) had already been at the property and left and that I should have read the manual of the property and looked on the back of the “do not disturb sign” on the door handle and it’s my fault for not reading it and not putting the sign out before 10am and that she is not coming back as I should read the manual and if I did not that’s my fault, in a very rude tone of speech. when I told her that I do not read the manual usually at a property, unless I need to find out some information or specific detail and that it would be better to put up a specific notice, as she had put up for other specific details she accused me of talking over her and that she will not tolerate that and that she is not coming back. I thanked her and she cut me off. Few minutes later she arrived, as I was getting ready to leave, saying what do you need? I told her and she kindly supplied for both rooms to my hand and told me she won’t do it again. I thanked her and she left. Then I got an e-mail via Bookings.com from her telling me it was all my fault and that I have been reported to Bookings.com. I did not respond, as as did nothing wrong and just made a simple request that at most properties, you do not need to ask, it happens automatically and it’s their pleasure to replenish what needs to be replaced and clean the room, if required. This was a very unfortunate episode, of a great holiday.

Kelly & Sean are lovely & accommodating hosts. The motel is within walking distance to town centre & in a quiet street.
