Staff is fabulous. Location is very convenient and near a lovely alley that has murals, plants, and benches and is the back side of Hotel Otavalo. Hostal gardens and overall interior of the hostal is warm and welcoming.

Bath is a bit small. Breakfast is included a d lovely, but lacks variety for multiple day stays.

the door (double) closed with a large space between that let light right onto one of the beds and let in a lot of noise.

Room was facing a busy street. We were woken up at midnight by people singing loudly outside. Fortunately it didnt last long and we were able to fall sleep again. Next time we will request an inside room with views to the garden instead.

Breakfast was tasty with eggs, yogurt, fruit and bread. Staff was super attentive and helpful. Big room with hot water in the shower. There is secure parking about three blocks from the hotel. The location is walking distance from the various markets and cultural sites.

The hotel is located in a busy part of town so if street noise and traffic bothers you then get a room that doesn't face the streets (many rooms don't).

The staff was kind and considerate. The place is neat and cute.

There is loud music that plays until 3A in the morning, and the dogs bark all night. The walls are just not sound proof and it is off of the busy road where everyone comes into Otavalo so not an ideal location for good sleep or relaxation.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the gardens were beautiful.

The beautiful gardens, the ever smiling staff (especially Paulina), the excellent breakfasts and the good value laundry.

We had the room 20 which has it's own private terrasse with a view on the Cotacachi volcano (it was very cloudy so we did not see it entirely but still...). We were very impressed with this. The room was very clean and warm and the bed was extremely comfortable. Fredy was very accomodating also and agreed to keep our luggage for the day after the checkout since we left for the airport at n=ight around 7 pm. We could also use a shower just before leaving at night, which was a nice touch. The staff (2 young men) and Freddy were all very nice and made us feel at ease. You can't go wrong with this hotel. It was recommended to us by our driver and we would come back for sure.

The shower in our room functionned awckwadrly and we lacked hot water for a couple of minutes each time but overall not a big deal. Also there was not fruits served for breakfast which was a bit disapointing but the fresh juice was excellent so again, not a big deal.

Everything was good the place is nice and cozy and the staff are very friendly and kind.

The only thing is the parking if you have a car the parking is a couple blocks away from there but they go with you so you feel safe.

The staff was super helpful, great location, tje rooms are incredibile, beds are warm and confortable! We wish we could have stayed longer!
