A lovely historic property which has been very tastefully decorated. We had a large bedroom plus bathroom. We really enjoyed the breakfast in another lovely room. Romane and Rémi are very friendly hosts.

Hôtel Jean XXII has an excellent location, rooms looking out onto historic buildings, towers and a church, with beautiful narrow streets behind the building. It offers functional lodging. One doesn't much sense the palace quality, but the welcome is warm and very friendly.

We had a lovely one-night stay in this quaint hotel. The gal who worked the front desk and also breakfast the next day was very sweet and helpful and gave us a terrific recommendation for dinner - and made reservations for us! In a message earlier in the week, they advised us where to park for free, so it made arriving less stressful. The room was small, and everything was clean.

The location was exactly where we wanted - right on the edge of the old city. The problem was that the "old city" has not been maintained like in the rest of France. It felt depressed and, frankly, uninteresting. This, of course is not the hotel's fault. Just a warning that if you are going to Cahors to see an old city, you will be disappointed.

Lovely old hotel close to the old town, our room overlooked a pedestrian street and the old tower next door, so was very quiet. Comfortable room and facilities and a short walk into the centre of the old town and river walk. Lots of great restaurants around and we were given lots of recommendations of the different styles etc. We were there Saturday morning and there is a big market by the cathedral with was filled with local produce. We didn't have breakfast there as wanted to try out places in the town but it looked very nice.

The location in the old town was lovely, and the view from our bedroom of the church next door was great. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful.

The shower unit was old and not very clean. The room was pleasant enough but quite small and the decor was a bit tired.

The property is a lovely old building that has been beautifully restored. It is close to the centre of town and is easy to access. The hosts are charming and friendly

The hotel is located just on the edge of the pedestrian area and opposite a large free car park. The building is very old and I had expected it therefore to feel a bit dated but it was very modern inside. There is no lift or air-conditioning but we were warned in advance of the lift and the electric fan worked well in keeping the room cool. Our room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view across a wisteria to the old tower beyond. Despite being so close to the heart of Cahors, the area is very quiet. Within 5 minutes gentle walk, you are in the town centre with its beautiful cobbled streets, historic buildings, bars and restaurants.

Quiet, clean room, good breakfast and friendly staff and able to leave bags when had a walk round Cahors before leaving. Beautiful plants in the breakfast and hallway. Great location and a 10 min walk from the station. Reasonable value

We are two friends and we had booked for what we thought were twin beds but actually got a small double. The room was very small. There was a fan which was good but the room was still very hot as the weather was exceptionally hot.

The young lady on reception and breakfast next morning was really helpful (and also spoke good English). The location was great to walk down through the old town and parking close by was easy and free. So useful to have internet access.
