Very comfortable bed in what was a very quiet room - no disturbance from other guests or road noise.. The staff were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. The location of the Talbot Inn is perfect due to its short walk to all amenities within the town centre.

Breakfast was very good but I had to take it with me due to an unexpected change of plans. The morning staff were friendly & helpful & the “doggy bag” was much appreciated.

My toilet seat was not clean & the shower doors wouldn’t close properly. I had to check in at 10.30pm because of my flight, the person on duty was a bit grumpy though he did help with my bag.

The room was warm and convenient

Everything. Hotel was closed , no one to greet us. It was deserted . No breakfast available, no room cleaning. It was the worst experience of a hotel ever. A woman appeared from somewhere to give us our key, looking surprised to see us, then no one and nothing . It was almost creepy as it was so deserted.

Location is great with the Town Centre about a 5 min walk. Parking was free and very convenient. Good to have a separate entrance to the room i.e. not via the pub. The Wi-Fi was good. Cirencester a great place to visit.

Main dissapointment was the pub itself I was looking forward to the advertised cask conditioned real ale. However, when the pub was open (it opened late and closed early with hardly any customers) only bottled ale was available. No food was available. Apparently the owners were away which may be the reason. We stayed in the 'delux room'. I'd have to say It was quite expensive given the size and facilities, so ok but not great VFM. Some of the advertised facilities, e.g. a desk, did not exist.

We were in apartment no 2. Sadly the Wi-Fi did not extend there. The particulars refer to an additional toilet; there was not one. The terrace and patio referred to were not there. A seating area is referred to but there were no comfortable chairs. The only natural light was through a window measuring 38in by 18in; beyond the window was considerable vegetation and a stairway leading to the property above so electric light was always needed.. The bed spread needs laundering.

Breakfast was good. Landlord very helpful.

It was dirty and old. Room also smelt.
