I stayed at the hotel for my daughters wedding reception, Emma the manger did a great job so nice an helpful ,even getting us tea an breakfast in the morning, Made us feel really welcome 10 out of 10 for ur hospitality, an ur chef to, room was clean an tidy on arrival.
Only thing I didnt like about my stay was there was no tea making facilities or classes I'm my room .which I feel is a must for a hotel room especially if u have been to a party at the hotel.

The photos on booking.com looked great. Unfortunately the hotel was like a third world place, dirty in cared for carpet thread bare and dirty paint peeling of doors. In fact a total misrepresentation of booking.com.

Nice staff, clean room. Few issues but at the end of the day it's a place to get your head down. Did what it said on the tin. Not worth the £90 I paid through booking.com. would say its more a £45-60 place
Shower didn't drain fast enough, no locks on external doors

Bar areas nice, mostly friendly staff, comfortable beds and very convenient as attending a family party in the function room. Despite comments below we had a good time.
Rooms weren’t good at all, no light in en suite in one room, door didn’t lock in another, blind hanging off window in another. No hot water in 3 bed room and very cold in room itself. Not the cleanest, lots of cobwebs everywhere but beds were spotless. Men’s public loos weren’t clean but ladies were ok. Not particularly organised when allocating rooms and who’d booked what within our large party.

Good and friendly service.it offered a good food selection 👌.
Booking.com didn't do there job after booking 2 double rooms and travelling for over 2 hours we arrive too find out that you booked us 1 twin room but took payment for 2 doubles and there was no other rooms available. Was very disappointed with your service

Value for money, cheap and cheerful. The room was pleasant with bathroom and a tv.
Felt very unsafe as the outside door was not locked at any point during the nights. As a female travelling alone for work I felt intimidated.

Nothing. Absolutely disgusting place

The room was comfortable for the price we paid (lack of space to hang clothes and not cups to have a drink)
The entertainment was good
Massive fights during the night, that was extremely scary as it sounded as if it was outside my room. Myself and my friend felt completely powerless to be able to do anything incase our door got kicked in.
It also sounded as if it was at the front of the building as we were lay quietly scared in the dark so not to draw attention to ourselves. Police turned up with the dog who were also going mad and sounded like they were outside our room infact at one point they were as we could hear hit band against the door and sniffing under it.
We have never been so scared in our lives. We didn't get any sleep all night because after the fights and police left, it sounded like people were also leaving as doors were slamming and people making a noise. To then see the room smashed up and holes in the wall, window smashed, blood splattered up a wall in the court yard just shows the extent of how bad the situation was.
It honestly sounds like people were been seriously hurt.

We had no electric from 2am. We had already asked for a room change after 4 or 5 spiders roamed around our room amd shower area- in the first hour-but we're told none we're available. We had silverfish in the carpet and the remote control didn't work. It was a shambles from start to finish, and I'm a very regular customer. And we've had no response from Minworth or Booking.com regarding our complaints. Very very disappointed!

Bed was comfy and shower was good
Breakfast could have been served earlier. Room had no facility to hang clothes. The window only had a roller blind, which we had to keep closed as there were kids playing outside and we're able to look in the room. Food was advertised but they had no kitchen staff during our stay. There was no tea/coffee available in the room, overall it was not a pleasant stay.

location was useful for weekend in Birmingham
staff were friendly though management need to ensure a message gets through as apparently they had turned people away previously with nowhere to stay! yeah
all rooms had been cancelled due to a ‘refurb’ but we had not been informed of this, so turned up as planned.
they allowed us into two different rooms what had already been recurved though they were scruffy, unkept and hairs in bed

I called in advance to arrange a late arrival following a wedding which was kindly agreed to.
Overall, the accommodation was very tired-looking, but passable. The Club was still open and taking orders well after the advertised closing time. A police car arrived shortly after I did, although I didn't hang around to find out why.
On arriving at reception, I was greeted and told that the room I was staying in did not have a lock. It appears that a previous guest had taken the keys away. I asked for a housekeeping key or similar only to be told that there were none. It was then suggested that I use the dressing table in the room to fashion a barricade. The room smelt strongly of smoke, the bathroom had black mold around the fixtures and ceiling. The bed was clearly old and tired, as were most of the furnishings. No discount or refund was offered, despite requesting this at both check-in and check-out.

Comfy bed and friendly staff
Breakfast was a disaster, supposed to be from 8.00 am, but had breakfast at 9 .00, lacked any finesse, and tasty rank, gave it up as a bad job, no coffee or tea facilities in room, a standard nowadays, TV manual buttons as gadget not working, garden view was a joke

Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to find out
Having booked the hotel 9 months ago we were very annoyed to find our rooms had been double booked. This caused a huge problem as it was during the Commonwealth Games so finding alternative accommodation was really difficult and very expensive. We have not been offered any compensation other than a free drink

The room was clean. Staff helpful.
The room offered in the beginning was no good whatsoever for a person in a wheelchair, they were informed. There was no kettle, tea bags etc.

The amount of parking spaces
Everything (except the chef - she was lovely). I checked in and paid for my stay but when I got to my room the handle and lock were hanging off the lightweight hardboard door, there were no curtains but an old ill fitting blind. I returned to the bar (there was no reception) and asked for either a screw driver or a change of room. They moved me to a room that smelled like an old sports bag, the window was frosted and made the room dark and claustrophobic. The walls were so thin I could hear the gentleman in the adjoining room burping and sniffing. No wardrobe. No tea and coffee facilities as advertised (you have to ask for them).
The barman fixed the door on the original room I was offered but I dreaded having to stay there for 4 nights! I felt insecure and the whole place was unwelcoming. I checked out but the manager wouldn't refund all my money - only 3 of the 4 nights I was supposed to stay - on the grounds it was too late to resell the room - I pointed out that somewhere there was a hotel that would benefit from my unexpected last minute booking so it wasn't impossible that she would sell it.
I travel a lot on my own and am not fussy about facilities but I need at least to feel private and safe and the Minworth didn't offer me that. I had driven nearly 200 miles and was tired but I couldn't even grin and bear it for one night. Awful place and expensive for what it is.
