It was a clean room and convenient to start the Camino

Very clean and convenient room Great to have a room with coffee and some fruit, after a long day walking it was really good to have that, quite place, it was great!

I have stayed at Pension Lizaso twice and was both times fully satisfied.

Safe accommodation for single traveller

Check-in was OK because there was someone there. Food/dining option were very close.

The room and front door entry card failed to operate upon our return from breakfast - we could not get back in and there were no staff on site. Another returning guest let us in. A phone call enabled us to access our room via an 'emergency card'. But then when trying to leave we couldn't get out the front door! We were locked in! In the tray of cards left by other departing guests we found one that worked and opened the front door, so could leave. Apparently the cards can stop working if in your pocket near the mobile phone. This is terrible with an property unstaffed after normal office hours. The shower wouldn't drain. I had to unblock it.

A little bit pricey for a Pensión but we realised that the Vuelta de España was starting in Irún the following day. Apart from that, no complaints and would stay again.

I don't usually bother to write negative reviews, but this stay was just something extraordinary. Extremely NONE service minded lady in the reception. She would not let me in upon arrival because the reception was closed, although I had mentioned that I would arrive late, which was also confirmed on booking.com. I called multiple times in panic because I had no other place to go, being in a foreign country in the middle of the night. I have never in my life been approached this way at a hotel, she was completely nonchalant, unpleasant and inflexible. If it weren't for her kind and helpful son that let me in after 45 min I would rate this hotel with a 1 star instead of 2. I will definitely never go back.

stopping in Irun was unscheduled, we were lucky to find a last-minute place to stay. super down-town, but if you're sensitive to noise (from both the streets and the building itself) it's not the place for you.

a little refurbishing wouldn't hurt. on the other hand: i could say this about Irun all together....

I didn’t like the bed I must say

It was the only one available in the area late at night so we were grateful for the clean room to crash. Street parking fairly easy on Sat/Sun.

Way overpriced for what it is.
