Staying at Tiki Villas was an exceptional experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They thought of everything. Beautiful view, delicious food, spacious and comfortable room and animal/bird sightings right in front of our villa! I will definitely go back!

The villas are located on the hill side overlooking the sea and surrounded by rain forest. The view from our villa’s deck was fantastic. The hotel has an infinity pool, with the same unbelievable view; having a cold beer as you cool off in the pool, was definitely a daily highlight. The restaurant offered a range of meals and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The villas were located separately and you were not overlooked. Due to the steepest of the approach road, suggest 4x4 car….

The hotel staff were exceptional. The breakfast was very good and we tried everything on our 4 day stay. The lounge area was relaxing and the music was too! We watched the Howlers and the toucans from our balcony every day. Great very of them water and close enough to hear the surf. And Playa Hermosa had some serious surf!

The first night we had dinner there but not again. It was mediocre and over $100 for the two of us. The stone around the pool is moldy and the chairs were reclining lawn chairs in bad shape and VERY uncomfortable and nearly impossible with my bad back to get out of. There are so many negatives to the comfort of the rooms I will leave it to say this place needs a makeover. Mattresses were hard as stone and the linens as well as towels were dingy and smelled very old and musty. For a boutique hotel of this ranking I would expect more than lawn furniture on the balconies also. The closet is bigger than the bathroom, not necessary, make the bathrooms bigger. All in all it was terrible, but I wouldn’t pay more than $70 per night.

the beds!!! my stay there was 7 days long and the beds are not comfortable at all. very hard and stiff! if I had known this I would’ve made trip shorter. contemplated on day three to leave and loose my payment. please update sleeping accommodations.

Stunning views and a great infinity pool. Villas are located in such a way, that you have a real sense of privacy. They are also very well equipped - there is a separate room for your wardrobe and you can enjoy making your own food in a kitchen. Staff is very kind and caring, and will help you with anything you might need during your stay. Once again - the views from ocean-view villas are exceptional. You can also spot a great many of wild animals, just from your balcony.

Road leading to the hotel is unpaved, pretty steep and in a poor state. If you rented a 2WD car, and it is a rainy day it might mean you'll not be able to get to the hotel, as the surface gets very slippery. To be sure, you'd have to rent a 4WD. Prices for dishes in the restaurant are somewhat steep. Drinks are reasonably priced, however. Also, the water pressure in our villa left much to be desired.

We had 6 of the 8 rooms and were the only ones there that we know of. This is an adult only hotel, which was great! The rooms, pool, restaurant/bar, spa and the views are amazing! We saw White faced capuchin monkeys and Howler monkeys in the trees above the pool. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It is very clean, quiet and secluded. This is in the rainforest so you will see insects, iguanas, monkeys and other wildlife. Each room has an indoor and outdoor shower. This was fun! loved the balcony! The manager was very nice and accommodating - I felt like he never slept as it seemed like he was always there. The kitchen cooked an amazing breakfast and even started 30 minutes earlier for us so we can get on the road to drive to Playa Hermosa. The gentleman serving breakfast was great! Gabriel in the bar was nice and helpful. ** When traveling please remember to tip - they do a lot for guests and they deserve it! ** We took a shuttle to Dominical and ate at Fuego!! We highly recommend it! We also took a shuttle to Nauyaca Waterfalls and had a great time! This was a great experience. Thank you Tiki Villas!

The ONLY thing that was wrong was the beds were too hard, however, if that was the only thing wrong - who cares. We were in an amazing hotel! Please fix the entry to the parking lot so shuttles and vans can drop off guests without bottoming out. :) Thank you.

Beautiful location, private and relaxing

Fabulous location. Very relaxing with friendly helpful staff. We spent five days at the Tikivillas and just enjoyed sitting by or in the pool, watching some beautiful wildlife fly by.

Amazing hotel! Spacious rooms with breathtaking view (saw some flying tucans every day). Delicious breakfast options, small infinity pool overlooking the playa hermosa. Very friendly staff!

we stayed in #4 villa which had a fabulous view. we loved being so close to the birds and monkeys.

the beds are very hard and the pool is small. also there is no shade at the pool until late afternoon.

What a beautiful place! Rooms had a stunning jungle and ocean view. We had lots of toucans, vultures and other birds appear on the tree next to our balcony. Very clean and comfortable with a small kitchenette. Really good food - breakfast and dinner. The thing that made it exceptional was Marc and the staff. So friendly and helpful. No request was too much for them. If we did return to this part of Costa Rica we would definitely stay here again.

That we had planned to head somewhere else so soon

The property is above the trees but is not all the way up the mountain which in that area is a plus because most cars can get to it and it’s only a short walk from the main road. It is about 10 minutes by car to the center of town so be prepared for that. The rooms are very spacious with kitchenettes and all have balconies. The staff is friendly and attentive and helpful. The pool is a bit smaller than it appears in the property photos but still really beautiful and serene.

The bed is only made with sheets which is generally fine since it is very warm there but I like the weight of a blanket. To be fair I never asked for a blanket and based on their service I am sure they would have found one for me.
