I loved everything about La Villa. We arrived early in the morning, well before check-in, and we were greeted with a warm welcome. Staff could not be more gracious. Breakfast everday was lovely. The ambiance of the seating area is magical. Room is spacious as well as the bathroom and all is decorated tastefully. Bed is comfortable. Location is perfect.

My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

The room is very big, cozy, comfortable, adorable. And the balcony is soooo nice. Breakfast also delicious. Pls note there is no parking lot.

The hairdryer is socks, need to hold the button when you use it, and the button already broke that need to find the correct position and push hard. The one room costs me 1w7 rs. This shouldn’t be!!!

This is the place to stay when in Pondicherry! You are right in the heart of the White Town, everything within walking distance. This restored French Mansion is a delight. There are only 6 rooms, so it feels very personal. There is a superb pool on the second floor, and it is open 24 hours! We stayed in the India Song room on the ground floor, and it was superb. Large amd open, with a massive bathroom, and a separate living room. The best thing about this place must be the staff. They are just amazing, and make sure that you have the best stay ever, and make sure you want for nothing. From the very welcoming checkin from Kavitha, and Shantha Raj, to the excellent service provided by the 3 waiters for our meals. These 3 need a special mention, they just made out stay that much extra special! Thank you to Sunil, Maseullah and Jayasheelan! The food! Wow, amazing, delicious, it was fantastic! We liked it so much, we ate here every night. The room had a fully stocked bar, and this was complimentary, which was a nice bonus! Stay here, and you won't be dissapointed. One of the best places we stayed at on our 2 week India trip.

Lots of smokers were around - which isn't necessarily the property's fault but should not be encouraged.

1. the food was great - especially the continental breakfast which had an amazing bread basket 2. the location was really centrally located in the French area of town with lots of the food restaurants and shops close by as well as the beach 3. Minimal clean design and beautiful garden area for eating

1. We complained of a dripping shower on four separate occasions. a plumber needed to be called and it was keeping us up at night to the point I had to wear ear plugs!! Our request wasn’t taken that seriously which when you’re paying this much it should be. Really hope it’s fixed for the next customers. 2. The restaurant had wonderful food but took too many covers at one time and we waited 2.5 hours to receive our main course which we only received after complaining it’s a real shame the above two things would put me off going back as I had wanted to stay at this property for a very long time and it takes quite a lot for me to complain.

Immediately after step in gates of La Villa you are engulfed by clean, tidy, welcoming,stylish, authentical-colonial environment. Location of the hotel is probably the best in Pondichery- in the center of French quarter(cleaner, more stylish eating, shopping and coffee places quarter) and within walkable distance from the beach. There are only 6 rooms in the property, therefore you get privacy and for example pool area was only for us :) The food was also great (we had breakfast and dinner there) and the surrounding highly contributes having any dining experience here. The other gem of this boutique hotel is its Personnel: they take extra mile in order to full fill your request and make you feel exceptional. By the way we also stayed 1 night in Villa Shanti and both these locations (La Villa & Villa Shanti) are a little bit different ( to some extent) however both are highly recommended for staying in Pondicherry.

The villa was a beautiful blast from the past. Felt like staying in a part of Pondy's history. The staff was also courteous and served us a very elegant, simple breakfast
