La vue des fenêtres de deux chambres est magnifique, les chambres sont assez spacieuses , l’appartement est plutôt lumineux. L’environnement est très calme.

Juste les oreillers sont un peu mous pour nous sinon tout est parfait

The hosts were very responsive and helpful with any and all queries prior to our arrival and were very friendly and welcoming (but not imposing/prying). The apartment was clean and thoughtfully stocked with the essentials (toilet paper, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, cooking oil, tissues...) as well as being stocked with plenty of information for tourists, about places to see and things to do, with or without kids. The location was right next to the entrance to the forest, which was handy for taking our dog out. The views were absolutely stunning, in every direction. The town of Bad-Peterstal was very pretty and the people were welcoming. The Hotel-Garni Café Räpple was especially good (great cakes, Schnitzels and good service with a smile, plus it's open on Sundays, thank goodness, as not much else is).

There were a couple of practical issues for us, with staying there for as long as we did (9 nights). With no washing machine, we had to bring enough clothes to last the entire time, which was tricky with two kids and plenty of opportunities to get mucky. There was also no dishwasher, which meant washing dishes by hand, which took quite some time each day, with four people, plus there wasn't much room to drain/no basin to rinse. The place was overall nice and clean and equipped as advertised, but these items would have been great to have. We were slightly disappointed with the size of the apartment, which had enough beds for the two kids and us, but very little other space (very small living space, right next to the bedroom, so watching a movie after the kids went to bed was almost impossible. The kitchen and dining table in it were pretty small, so it felt very cramped, eating with four people. We would say the place would be best suited to a couple travelling without kids, wanting to "get away from it all", as it is pretty remote. If you are bringing children and/or dogs, be aware that the "garden" is actually a very small strip of grass to the side of the barn next to the property, which you cannot see from inside the apartments and which is not fenced in, so it is not possible to let the kids/dog out and keep an eye on them, while relaxing on the terrace, for example. If you are arriving on a Sunday (as we did), ensure you bring food and drinks with you as nothing is open. We had to do a late evening run to a petrol station about half an hour's drive away, and there was very little there apart from a few jars/tins and snacks.
