stairs are a bit steep but for our short stay the location mattered most.

The hotel is located central to most attractions - everything is within a 20-30 min walk max with most places in 10 mins. The room was clean and bed comfy.

No iron or ironing board when I requested which I thought was a little strange as it's a hotel!?

The location is excellent - all tourist attractions are in walking distance & it’s close to a tram stop. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom - a bugbear of mine is that hotels are usually stingy! And there was complimentary shower gel & shampoo.

As others have said, the stairs are steep. However, this is a fact of life in Amsterdam - the pubs / restaurants all have steep stairs too. The host told us we had a small room & he was correct, it was cramped, but we did see rooms much bigger than ours so if we stayed again we’d request a bigger room! Amsterdam is ‘lively’ & the location means you’ll hear noise all night. This didn’t bother us but I believe there are ‘quieter’ rooms which can be requested.

The price was amazing for this location, with plenty of dining options outside and within walkable distance to the main sights. This is a small private hotel, it's quite old and prob needs some renovations, yet, we had a great room, very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

The rooms could be refreshed a little bit and some minor things fixed, but even 'as is' this hotel offers great value for the price and leaves a pleasant afterfeeling.

Our room was at the top off the building and had very narrow steps carrying a suitcase also was a real challenge...no hairdryer in room and no tea or coffee

This stay was one of the most enjoyable, friendly experiences I have had in any EU country. Peter the host, was outstanding. friendly, informative, kind and incredibly good at running this hotel. it was clean, warm and comfortable. I cannot wait to return!! Its central location made it all the better! Thank you Peter looking forward to seeing you again very soon!

The location The quirky interior of the hotel

The bed we had was randomly placed in the middle of the room. I understand the room was tiny but I do think it all could have been placed better (furniture wise) the shower head was full of limescale so the water came out in dribbles. The pillows and duvet seemed a bit old too. I just don't feel it was anywhere near worth the price we paid

Location was excellent. Hotel owner had a good sense of humour.

While room and bathroom were clean, both were very dated, and in need of work. Melamime on cabinets in Bathroom was peeling off in some places, and wallpaper was starting to peel as well.

Main selling point of the property is definitely the location . very close to everything with good links to the rest of Amsterdam

don’t underestimate the stairs . Very tough after a few drinks and not for the feint hearted . I also feel a kettle should be offered as standard and not for a “nominal fee “ .

I loved the hotel and the host with his cat. hotel is old, but nice. location is just perfect. clean and wide rooms.

Excellent location, basic hotel with all you need. However not for those with mobility issues as stairs up to rooms are very steep. Initially disappointed that our room view was too the back of hotel. But given its on a very busy social square we were pleased as room was quiet

Steep stairs, especially for elderly guests

Spacious room, decor and style of room was great. The noise is not so bad at all, very good sound proofing.
