They attended a last minute request for breakfast and it was excellent.

Quietness of area

Very rustic, no water in swimming pool, grounds needed tending, safety issues with stairs in bungalow, no rail on bottom stairs which were very deep and varied depth of rise. Restaurant closed. The posada should have informed us that facilities were not available as advertised.

Good location, peaceful and very quiet

Easy to miss Hotel Entrance when travelling by car, so better signposting would help.

Love the security and the gardens

The only problem is that the outside door shutter makes a terrible noise, and if you have to take the dog out in the night, it would wake everybody up. We stayed two years ago in the same room with the same problem. Nothing changes. Maybe some oil?

The room was warm on a very chilly evening. The garden is very big and is enclosed which is great for walking our dog.

It would be nice if the hotel had its own restaurant. Breakfast was adequate but could be better.

Very convenient overnight stop-off Gibraltar to Santander. Good parking. Comfortable beds. Value for money.

a small but really good and familiar hotel in a good location spot in Extremadura. The personal is doing their best to help you even if they don‘t really speak English. The kitchen is really good - they cook fresh.

Very good secure Parking for transit stop on the way to or from Portugal. Very Dog friendly. The pool was open till 2030 which was excellent. Plenty of grass and trees to walk the Dog.

Difficult to find as the Hotel Signs are very OLD and FADED . Arriving at dusk we did not see the signs and the Sat-Nav took us to the left towards Matanza 2 , Where as the Hotel was just down the road signed Matanza 3. On thr Right?? We had to ask directions from local people walking their dog when we were within a "stones throw" of the Gate which did not have the name of the hotel on it.

The hotel outdoor area, beautiful. We arrived late, 22 o'clock so we could not enjoy the pool. But everything was nice.

You hear the room neighbours when they are talking

This posada is a true hidden gem with a spectacular garden and a marble pool, tucked away between beautiful green lush hills. I was not expecting this as I was looking for a one night stay on my trip further south and it was just off the highway. I would have loved to stay longer and will definitely stay there on my way back. The staff was excellent, very helpful and mindful of Covid restrictions. The room and posada were very clean.
