We travelled to Croatia/Podstrana just outside of the start of the season in early April. It was a pleasure to watch this family run business (that works like clock work) start to get ready for the season whilst we were there. This meant I got to make use of the fantastic swimming pool (that is lit up in beautiful blue at night) on our last day. The accommodation/hotel is clean. Good attention to detail with everything we needed. Beautiful well kept gardens. The view out of the garden/balcony to the sea is fantastic. The family who run the business are all really friendly and 'there to help' with whatever we needed- extra things/items to make our stay easier for us, help with finding places to visit etc. They organised an airport transfer for us on arrival with a local friendly businessman- who provided great conversation on the journey that helped put us at ease and become more familiar with the culture. Nothing was too much for family who run the hotel. They have been doing it for decades- this is obvious. They strive to reinvest and make improvements as they go. Taking pride in all that they do- so they should do! They are by no means intrusive either. Perfect balance of hospitality. The location of the accommodation was good for us as we got to experience things outside of the city and by using the really good public transport system we got to meet/talk to local people. Travel to Split on way or Omis the other. Both great experiences. We also took a day trip from Split to Keke National Park- it was amazing. The mainly continental breakfast was good in size and varied with fruit, compote, cheeses and ham. The eggs brought out everyday were perfectly cooked and really tasty. Overall we felt that the experience with the accommodation, food and staff was great value for money. A lovely family friendly environment. Beautiful country. Friendly people.

It is by no means a complaint- as I have written above we were really happy at the hotel. It may just be a different approach in provision with this type of accommodation i.e. differences in the UK Croatia. I would have liked to have seen a basic tea and coffee making tray supplied as standard in the room. Having said that a kettle was provided to me on request- to meet these needs and there is a fridge in the room for storing other refreshments. So this may just be a matter of personal taste/requirement.

it’s located right by the water, there’s a possibility to walk to restaurants nearby without breathing in exhaust from cars. it’s clean, hot water for showers, breakfast was generous and there is parking.

We highly recommend this property! It provided us with such a the homey, comforting feel. It is maintained to the highest standard, everything was spotless. The room was super quiet and the bed was so comfortable, we had a great night rest. The breakfast that is served is exceptional, with such a wide variety of food. We enjoyed it slowly on a beautiful patio overlooking the pool and the beach. The beach is literally in front of the hotel and there are sunbeds offered for the hotel guests. The staff was so kind. They had our room ready even before our designated arrival time and they checked us in with no fuss. They are opened year-round so we will definitely come back.

We were really hungry when we came late. We looked for any place to eat but every place was closed. The man (owner?) fixed an eveningplate with goodies like ham, egg, olives and bread and we were so grateful🙏🏻 Now that’s service!

View from balcony is breathtaking and it's really the way it looks in pictures. Location is perfect for less crowded beach and restaurants at a walking distance. The owners are friendly and sweet. They helped me organize surprise birthday cake for my wife. Breakfast was nice.

If you want to visit Split, a car is must have. Bathroom is a bit small but manageable.

This accommodation really exceeded our expectations. The room was big and clean, we had view on the sea and the beautiful garden. The room came with breakfast with many options (sweet, cheese, meat, eggs), fresh orange juice and coffee. During the day we definitely enjoyed the sun bed underneath the olive trees which provided enough and natural shade. The sun beds were on the terrain of the property which felt safe and we could directly access the sea via a small gate. The property also had a really nice and clean pool, which we enjoyed many times and beautifully maintained garden. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel on our last day: the food was amazing and so were the hosts. We would highly recommend staying here if you want to enjoy a few days of nothing but the sea, sun and good food.

The view from the room and the surroundings were amazing. The hosts were really nice and friendly, they made a great breakfast.

The view was incredible and the beach was literally right in front of the house. amazing!!! The owner were so sweet and nice to us. We felt so taking care of. Id definitely recommend it and i will definitely come back!! Thank YOU HVALA!

Very clean , beautiful view and great location. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Excellent breakfast, great value and comfortable stay. Right on the beach, chairs and towels are available. Great balcony to enjoy the evening or morning view. Easy to travel around town; grocery stores and restaurants are near by. Marita will also prepare an excellent dinner for you, just let her know ahead of time.

The location is idyllic: very calm area, private free deck chairs and sun umbrellas facing the sea. There is a pizzeria/ restaurant 15’ away. The walk along the shore to get there was really relaxing, allowing us to enjoy an amazing sunset. Not far way on the other direction (2’ walk you can also reach a bar where to have some drinks). The owners are very friendly and the breakfast was very decent and enjoyable.

I felt the mattress uncomfortable because I could feel the springs when moving (My weight is 63kg). But price/quality unbeatable!

Great place ! Right on the sea, nice pool, small place so not many people and thats great ! Breakfast was really good.

Excellent placement, nice garden and pool. Free shady sunbeds at the beach. Good breakfast. Friendly owners. We definitely plan to come back next year.

The Hotel is declared as “just for adults”. There was a kids in neighbouring room. He was nice with kind parents, and for us this was not an issue, but anyway…
