Everything about our stay was perfect! Lyne was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make sure our trip exceeded our expectations. The hotel, decor and location are all stunning and the location couldn’t be better. It’s in a really historic part of the city and there are lots of great restaurants, museums, galleries and shops within a short walk, as well as lots of landmarks like the Belfort and Market Square. Our room was really comfy and well equipped. There was a great view onto the cobbled street in front of the hotel and it was really nice hearing the horse drawn carriages come past during the day. The bathroom was also great, with a really nice bath and separate shower. The breakfasts included with our stay were delicious and there was a really good selection! It’s hard to list all of the things that made this stay so special! It’s easily the best hotel experience we’ve had. We can’t wait to stay again!

Location - so close to the centre, but quiet at night. Also not hard to reach from the station. Breakfast - delicious and very generous Host - so welcoming The property was beautiful, with a fantastic rooftop - everything was perfect!

Everything? What’s there not to like? Staying at this beautiful historical house next to the canal to feed the swans every morning during breakfast? Unbeatable location, great facilities, amazing breakfast and above everything else, Lyne’s unmatchable hospitality. I visited Bruges alone for the first time in 2013, stayed here and loved it. In fact, people can still see my review from 2013 on Booking. Now I’m married and I decided to bring my wife to Bruges, among a few other cities in Europe. I made the reservation at Guesthouse Bonificius first, due to limited availability, only then we built the rest of the 1-month itinerary in Europe around. I think this says it all. I would like to thank Lyne for her wonderful B&B and would highly recommend it to anyone who visits Bruges!

If you stay in the canal suite, it could be a little noisy (not much!) when boat tours cruise past the building in the canal. The tours usually don’t start until ~9-10 am, by which time we are up and out anyway. I’d say this would deduct 0.1 point from the review on a scale of 100. :)

We loved everything! The location, the decor, the facilities, the rooftop, the breakfast (!!), the warm welcome we were given. We were just in "awe" of everything! We are positive we stayed at the best place in Bruges. Extra bonus: the toiletries are Hermès and the bathtub has jets on the bottom as opposed to on the sides (I didn't even know that was a thing)! Thank you!

A lovely welcome with a glass of fizz . Taken to a great car parking space a couple of minutes away. Great location and historic building on the canal. One of the best breakfasts we have had . Loved the free fridge including fizz and Bonifatius beer . Lovely little terrace upstairs for a little break Friday m walking around beautiful Bruges

Visited Belgium on a quick weekend side trip between work commitments in Amsterdam. The guesthouse was in a lovely location - very easy to walk to all the interesting sites. The host was very welcoming and helpful; my room was charming and well appointed; the wi-fi also worked well which was important to me. For those (like me) that are most accustomed to traveling for business and staying in traditional hotels, it might be helpful to know ahead of time that this is a different experience. You need to arrange your arrival time with the host ahead of time to enable access (outside door is locked - someone needs to be there to let you in). Since a fresh made breakfast is included, it also means pre-planning your meal time with the host. Since I was still a bit jet lagged and wanted flexibility to come and go on my own schedule without committing to a time, I didn't partake in breakfast but it looked wonderful when I went to grab coffee. Overall it was a very nice experience and I would stay again if in the area for leisure.

All was great

The location, the terrace, the room were magical. Very welcoming host. The bathroom is incredible, we had a jacuzzi. I liked that everything was included, even beverages in the room with zero hidden fees. They have their own triple blonde beer so make sure to try it!

Everything was perfect.

The gracious kindness of our host, the perfect location, the amazing breakfasts, the beauty and charm of this Old World Guest House that surpassed our expectations of beautiful and picturesque Brugge. Prior to coming to the Guest House Bonifacius, we had been staying at the wonderful Hotel Crillon in Paris. It's amazing that we can truthfully say the breakfasts have been every bit as tasty and bounteous here. BUT...there is more that can make a breakfast truly memorable and wonderful. In the case of the Guest House Bonifacius, it was the romantic setting in an absolutely delightful Old World home overlooking swans in the quiet canal. The passing by of canal boats filled with tourists admiring our little Guest House only added to this idyllic scene. The amazing coffee machine that we used returning from our walks enabled us to have Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato or whatever we desired. The pleasant ambience was highlighted by the gentle breeze coming through the delightfully beautiful old windows and punctuated by the wonderful music gently playing for our pleasure. In terms of location, the Guest House Bonifacius was perfect! There was a lovely romantic stone bridge a few steps from our door that crossed over into a lovely little park leading to some wonderful restaurants where we enjoyed delicious dinners and excellent service. The Bonifacius is in the very center of picturesque Brugge, with many museums, restaurants and stores all within walking distance. Our afternoon walks enabled us to comfortably see the windmills, barges and capture all the Old World charm of Brugge. Again, the location of our Guest House was perfect. Lyne, who was our host, was friendly, gracious, and obviously wanted to do everything to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied with everything. We leave tomorrow to return to our home in Switzerland. Our hope is to return again to enjoy this lovely little place and our choice for accommodations would absolutely be the Guest House Bonifacius!

Location and attention to details

We have just enjoyed the most magical stay in Bonifacius. We were greeted on arrival by Lynn and she was so welcoming. She immediately offered us secure parking for our car, and once that was sorted we were treated to champagne as Lynn welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know. We had a beautiful room overlooking the canal and Our Lady's Church and Bonifacius Bridge. Again the best words that come to mind is just magical. The room decor is beautiful and so in keeping with the medieval house. The bathroom offered comfort and luxury with all Hermes products. Lynn looking after us so well and served us a beautiful breakfast each morning. She also helped us sort out food options for the evening as the restaurants were closed. My Fiance is so in love with B&B Bonifacius we are booking in again for next Christmas. Brugge is a very special place to visit and B&B Bonifacius to us the perfect place to stay and explore this medieval town. Thanks for making our stay so special Lynn and going out of your way to accommodate everything we needed. Philippa and Leslie
