Amaroo was perfect for our stay. Close enough to Mt Beauty, not too far from beautiful Bright and convenient distance from Falls Creek where we visited the snow. The house was warm and comfortable and perfect for all my family to stay without feeling like we were on top of each other. The owner was a delight to deal with and answered all my silly questions. I will definitely be back when in this part of the world and if we visit the snow again. Thank you Gerlinde!

The property was fine. We had one problem which was disappointing. The hot water service was not working properly. Luke warm only and I did not have a contact number to call. Showers had to be quick as the water was not warm enough

Really loved the layout of this place. Top floor living area and deck with amazing views of Mt Bogong, with well set out bedrooms below. Gerlinde was responsive and helpful when our plans changed slightly, and our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. Loved the local gorge walk and swim, and were lucky enough to be there for the Mt Beauty monthly markets which had a good range of dinner choices. Would happily return!

We loved the location with easy access to the cafes and shops in Tawonga South and Mt Beauty. The views from the house and deck are spectacular and the Kiewa Valley is beautiful. The house is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped for all cooking needs. Having the BBQ was great on hot nights as was the fan in the bedroom (there are fans in all the bedrooms). The upstairs living area is spacious and comfortable. It does heat up on hot days, but there is an air conditioner which we used and it worked well to cool the space. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Amaroo! Gerlinde is an excellent host.

This place was fantastic. Lovely, quiet neighbourhood. The surroundings were picturesque and only a short drive to Mount Beauty. The house was perfect for us. Three bedrooms, large spacious lounge and dining. We enjoyed playing the board and card games provided. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed two nights in August to be able to go to Falls Creek skiing for a day, and this great property was perfectly located. It was well equipped with the double and queen size beds, and the four bunks in the third room. Everything was perfectly clean, and the kitchen equipment fully stocked with all the crockery, cutlery, utensils, glassware, dishcloths and teatowels we could need - I only needed to bring some foil & cling wrap!
The location was great - so quiet, and we loved the view over the valley, and I think when the weather was warmer the deck would be an amazing spot to hang out. Being only a couple of minutes away from Mt Beauty and about 45 minutes up to Falls Creek, it is perfectly located to be able to hit the mountain for day trips.
The wood heater was fantastic - we couldn't believe how much heat it pumped out - we popped the airing rack with snow gear near it and by morning everything was dry.
The large lounge suite and arm chairs meant we had heaps of room to spread out, and I was able to do some work from the 8 seater dining table. The toilet is separate from the bathroom which was perfect for when we were all trying to get ready, and the bathroom has heat lamps in the ceiling so we were not cold. And all the beds had electric blankets and extra doonas if needed. While we didn't use the laundry facilities there was a standard size washing machine and laundry tub for people needing to use those during a longer stay.
The checkin process was simple and the accommodation as described.
I would be keen to stay here again when we next go to ski at Falls Creek!

We loved our stay at Amaroo. The house is set up for relaxation and has everything we needed. The weather was quite warm and the house does heat up however there is a fabulous large sun umbrella, air conditioning and fans in the bedrooms. We'll hopefully be back again. Amazing Views
Great place for a family with amazing views from the living room and deck. We had a lovely Christmas in the cosy house surrounded by lush greens and enjoyed dinner and breakfast on the deck. The house had all we needed and our two kids loved it as well. It’s a perfect base for walks to explore the mountains around and cool off in the rivers for a swim ob a hot day. It’s a pleasant walk to Mount Beauty which I did with the kids one afternoon to go to the Mount Beauty pool. We would definitely stay there again. Owners were very friendly and communication was easy and prompt.

We enjoyed a lovely stay in Amaroo. Amaroo was very homely and had a nice comfortable feel about it. It was well-equipped with everything you could need. The coonara was a great feature and the views from the deck of Mt Bogong were amazing. This is a great spot to stay for skiing at Falls Creek!!

Splendid views, comfortable & welcoming accomodation
We loved our stay at Amaroo. The cottage is warm and welcoming - the most comfortable beds and a lovely heater. My young adult children had a blast on the snowfields - and we were able to take in the local walks and coffee shops (since we don't ski). In the evening we had lovely family meals and played card games. Thank you!

A Warm and Cosy Clean and Tidy Winter Holiday Home
Our stay at the Amaroo was just all round perfect. Starting with the arrival it was super easy to get the keys, everything was in its place, the house neat and tidy - everything was as explained in the ad. A strong electric heater and a wood heater too which was the hottest (!!) wood heater I have ever experienced. After a long day in the cold (and unfortunately wet) Falls Creek it was so nice to come back to this warm place in the evening. The kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms etc, everything was clean and to a good standard.
We have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would go back at any time - highly recommended!
Gerlinde (the owner) was a quick responder with all correspondence and very accommodating (no pun intended LOL!).

Warm and comfortable, everything we needed.
We were a group of 8 (2 families), and the house, although not large, was big enough for all of us and our ski/boarding gear! Brilliant fire place and plenty of electric heating as well. All beds had electric blankets. Great view from the deck (which I imagine would have been lovely to sit out on in warmer weather). Plenty of fire wood and a washing machine and dryer which was very handy. So glad we booked the house and not smaller apartments.

The room had many spider webs on ceiling, dust everywhere, the shower tub had hair and mould that we had to clean ourselves so our daughter can have a clean bath. No gloves provided to clean and it was very dirty that I have to soaked with bleach with bare hands. It is very obvious that the house wasn’t cleaned properly. Oil, tomato sauces are more than a year past best before date.Ironically, the owner sent a very rude message complaining that:- we did not fold the blanket properly and is askew- complained that there are hair on the bathroom floor - complained that we used all the tissue rolls for blowing our nose or changing nappies (I'm still confused as in how the owner can make such detailed accusations without actually seeing it, and it's very disturbing if the owner was watching us secretly). Ridiculous that we paid $90 for cleaning fees and yet the owner seem to expect us to clean the house for them as if we should be professional cleaners instead of guests. Besides that, the view was beautiful.

Relaxed, warm and inviting
Gerlinde’s house was perfect for our two families with children. The view from the deck is glorious - we had breakfast looking out at the autumn trees and the mountains behind. The living area is generous and comfy and perfect for board games. The kitchen is well equipped and nice to work in. The bedrooms are cosy and warm and the beds are great! The whole house feels well cared for, but it’s not at all fussy or uptight. It’s homely and comfortable. Thank you, Gerlinde!
