beautiful property
if I was being hyper critical I’d like a bigger bedroom if I was staying more than one night

Amazing get away place. We went there with my wife for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. Can't recommend it enough.

Absolutely fantastic location! The chateau is opulent and the grounds fairly large to walk around.
We stayed in the dacha in the woods and it was wonderful, private and cozy.
Breakfast was as expected for chambre d'hotes- a selection of cold meats, bread, cheese, coffees, teas and jams etc. Eating in dining room feeling a little like royalty due to the setting.
The meal cooked in the evening was exceptional though!
I don't believe its mentioned on booking.com, so I'll list the prices as I remember them at time of writing. For breakfast it was 17 euros per adult, and the dinner was 49 euros per adult.
The staff were all very friendly and happy to accommodate us and our 1 year old son.
The chateau is pet friendly (or at least dog friendly!) and we paid 15 euros for our dog to also stay. She was extremely happy to charge around the grounds.
If you walk up away from the chateau on the grounds there are swings for children, a slide, a trampoline and area to play football or kick a ball around to play. Further up the grounds there is a small garden area where you can find an enclosure with some goats and chickens. (This is not a petting zoo, but I could see it being an attraction for children to see the animals)
All in all I absolutely would recommend and want to return here again!
For me and my wife this wasn't an issue, but there are 2 little (friendly) white dogs who live in the chateau who will come into the dining room while you breakfast and wait for the chance of food. If you are allergic or not a fan of dogs I could see this being off-putting. (They are however quiet and friendly and pretty unobtrusive 😅)
The massage offered needs to be booked in advance which was not mentioned on booking.com, my wife missed out, but the rest of the stay was fantastic so we weren't too disappointed!

The Chateau and the grounds are absolutely stunning. The room was beautiful. The staff were very welcoming.
The booking.com price was confusing in that while we booked a room with a double bed and a bunk bed on the site, there was a surcharge on arrival for the bunk bed of 30 euros. This was very unclear while booking and needs to be clarified on booking.com. That said, even with the surcharge, the price for the room we had, was very reasonable.

The history, the food, the ambiance
Maybe the meal should have had some potatoes or extra veg. The panacotta was rather runny

was a beautiful chateau with lovely grounds
all the hidden doors in the room made me uncomfortable, a lot of stairs to walk up to the top floor

Breakfast was good. Lovely property, didn’t see much beyond.
Difficult to ascend to upper level with luggage. Cannot suggest a solution given the age of the property.

Maybe they could have added more fresh fruit and offered eggs

The location was lovely, the staff were lovely and the grounds were lovely too. The goats and chickens entertained us, and the accommodation was comfortable. A lovely change from chains and corporate hotels.
The only thing I don't like is dogs begging for food during meals. I would have preferred the dogs to be kept out of the very small breakfast room.

Spectacular building and grounds, wonderful hosts, beautiful meal served in the garden in the evening. courteous and knowledgeable staff.

Very unpretentious unlike a lot of French châteaus. The staff are excellent and the owners are very hands on. Very good breakfast and dinner and their wine list is very good value.

The chateau was incredibly charming. More beautiful and elegant than I was expecting. All of the staff and the owner were lovely. The meals were delicious. I especially loved breakfast. The setting was divine and the food was delicious. I loved everything about staying here.
The rooms were a smidge shabby and the beds were a little hard, but I didn’t really mind. I really loved staying here.

Peaceful park location, wonderful decor, good food, honesty bar, great staff, safe parking, lovely pool: like staying in someone’s (posh) house.
Set dinner lovely, but no choice. Top floor, split level bedroom/bathroom in eaves quirky but not hugely convenient.

Amazing Château, with fantastic facilities including swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. Stayed here on our way down to the Le Mans 24 hours
