This hotel is very bad. I stayed and payed for 3 nights with my visa card and then he cancelled my booking and mentioned no show and charged me additionnal one night because I decided to leave the hotel the next day. When I arrived the room was not made and he called someone to fix the bathroom then I decided to change the room and in the new room the air condition was not working well there was water on the floor. I called the receptionist at 2am in the morning and I didnt sleep at all. the Manager was very rude and didnt want to give me back my money even though I only slept one night in the hotel and I paid for 3 night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we had trouble booking a tour, they arranged one for us. Ady was also extremely helpful with addressing issues that occurred overnight. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of options.

The room has very dark decor. We also had several issues with the room. First, the hallway to our room smelled very musty. The lights in the hallway only worked half the time. Inside our room, more than half the lights didn't work, so it was difficult to see anything in half the room. In addition, the bathroom counter was dirty, and there was mildew/mold on the ceiling. The water pressure in the shower was variable. The minibar was not stocked and the fridge was dripping brown water. We did not have issues with internet, but the wifi was not working in half the hotel during our stay. While the staff was very helpful, the manager was unresponsive. He was contacted multiple times about the issues in our room and did not respond. We also witnessed a phone call in which he hung up on his staff.

Not the cheapest but very good location, big rooms, nice balcony. Breakfast not great but OK. Close to ferry and airport. I used this hotel as my Praia base traveling Brava, Fogo, Maio.

Good location, and really big rooms with a nice view over the city. Good beds, and quiet yet still with a good choice of bars and restaurants nearby.

The wifi was terrible. The first day, the wifi in my room was not working and I couldnt get another room until the next day. The second day I got a new room and everything worked well. The 3rd day however, the wifi was not working again. Not even in the reception area, Also breakfast was very poor.

I liked the location of the hotel across from Albuquerque park, which had a reasonably priced restaurant with good food. The main bus station on Praia plateau was a short 4 block walk away so I could easily take a public bus to the other plateaus that make up Praia City. All the main government buildings, main pedestrian street were nearby. Since the hotel was at the edge of the plateau, the views looking down into the valley were pretty. I liked that there were nearby steps so you could walk down the 8 “floors” of steps to the valley below to visit the large Sucupira market, where you can also catch minibuses to further parts of the island. The room was bigger than I expected and a great value for the money. The hotel staff was so friendly and knowledgeable.

At breakfast, I wish the chef had been willing to make more than one omelette for me. Otherwise, the breakfast was nothing special.

Great value for money and great location on the Plateau. Would definitely recommend it, especially the room size is a plus compared to other locations of similar price.

The only downside was that the air conditioning initially did not work. However, this was immediately fixed by the staff upon reporting.

The proprietor and staff were exceptionally considerate, kind and helpful during several days of gastric illness! They were not intrusive, simply made it clear they were there in case of need, calling in a doctor or bringing meds from pharmacy.... even the proverbial chicken soup!

Room furnishings could be updated, refreshed.
