Great place to stay and spend time with friends or family. Accommodates a wide range of ages. And what a view…….enjoyed seeing the eagles soar through the trees and over the water.

This was a perfect place for a family gathering. One of the best floor plans ever for a family with all age groups, and the view is breathtaking. We plan to stay here again.

The house is amazing and the view is incredible. The features in the home are also great: heated bathroom floors, controllable lights, very nice kitchen. It was clean and well apportioned, and you will likely have a really good time there. Excellent deck and hot tub. Nitpicks: Owner let us know we needed to check-in late because of work he was having done after the booking request, but no consideration for that constraint. The house number is obscured by the adjacent mailbox so we missed our turn the first time. The road is dirt and very rough from the highway (but pretty short). The TV is pretty old and very slow with limited viewing apps available. The hot tub controls were locked with no indication of how to unlock them for jets (had to search web for answer). Being quiet is emphasized, but noise from kids at the close neighboring house came across more than once. The beds are flimsy and not very comfortable, definitely worse than a hotel.

Perfect place for families. Great common areas and also privacy with the four bedrooms. Fantastic views and great access to walking in the state park and along the beach. We loved our stay here and hope to come back again. No complaints.

Very comfortable home with a stunning view! Six cousins who travel from around the United States have a reunion every year. The accommodations were perfect for us! We are already talking about coming back next year!

This house was wonderful, clean, and fully appointed. I almost hesitate to leave the glowing review it deserves because I want it to be available again when I have other gatherings. The living room and kitchen are very spacious and perfect for a couple days of dining and visiting. The windows offer superb views of the water. Host was responsive and accommodating to our groups needs.

Our group of 8 adults thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home on Whidbey. The large living room and kitchen was wonderful, but the deck and hot tub was the highlight with views of the boats and whales one day. Great central location to explore the whole island.

“The Good Place” is very fitting. It was so comfortable and family friendly.

Beautiful property. Expansive view. All good except the dishwasher was finicky. Most times we used it, the detergent pod stuck in its receptacle, didn't drop into the body of the machine, so the dishes were not all clean at the end of the cycle. We washed the dirty ones by hand.

We had a 50th birthday celebration with four college friends, three of them from out of state. The Good Place was fantastic. The views were amazing, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi, cooking equipment and condiments, and barbecue. The proximity to sights around Whidbey were great. Glenn was very helpful, flexible with us needing to change our dates and giving clear instructions on how to get in and where to paddleboard. We had an excellent time there and would go back again!

The Good Place was actually the great place. Large, comfortable home on Admiralty Inlet (cruise ships and freighters passing by) about midway between Langley and Coupeville. The house is roomy and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend it for a family or just a group of adults.

The property was perfect for all our needs. Four bedrooms and bathroom provided comfort and privacy. The large kitchen and outdoor spaces were perfect for gatherings. The location is ideal to reach all parts of the island. We had a wonderful experience with the house and would happily reserve it again. Thanks Greg!

Absolutely stunning home that worked well for a multigenerational family weekend. View is incredible, kitchen is roomy, and hot tub was a nice feature. We enjoyed watching the ship and boat traffic from the view property and we were often visited by a cute family of deer. Wonderful stay, we would return in a second!

Our family was on Whidbey for a wedding! We were absolutely blown away by the views and spaciousness of "The Good Place"! This home served all the needs of our family- all adults. From playing games in the living room to gathering in the hottub. We even saw a submarine out in the bay. There is a hiking trail a mile from this location and a beach! The Good Place gave all of us a wonderful and memorable stay!

Beautiful house with a perfect view!

We had our family retreat here for 6 nights and could not get over the magnificent sunsets, different every night. The place was very clean. Three or four people in the kitchen at every meal as we different diet needs and no one felt cramped. We enjoyed the hot tub. Glenn responded quickly to any inquiry we had. It is an ideal location. Eagles, though they mainly cluster in the state park up the road. We loved watching the tugboats with barges, container ships and cruise ships go by.

We had a great time at The Good Place. It is close enough to the Seattle area, but just far enough away to feel out of the city. The house is large enough for a group of 8 to sleep comfortably. The kitchen is large enough for 8 cooks at a time, and it was fun to drive into Langley for dinner one night. We were able to walk the trails in the Trillium Reserve Forest, and it was a short drive to both South Whidbey and Double Bluff State Parks.

Our two- and five-year-old grandchildren both gave a two thumbs up review as we all headed home. I think that says it all. This is a beautiful place. Thank you very much, Glenn!

We had a wonderful girls trip on Whidbey and absolutely loved the house. The views were beautiful, the house had everything we needed, and the owner was very responsive when we had questions. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Good Place and are planning to return in the future! This place is totally as advertised--the house is CLEAN, modern, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is HUGE and has all the amenities we needed, and there was ample space for everyone in our 9 person party (7 adults + 2 young children) to spread out. The view of the water is unreal. It was a treat to look out at it everyday. My son loved using his binoculars to spot all the water vessels and beautiful birds that went by. The hot tub overlooking the water was also amazing and we used it everyday. The owner was very responsive to our inquiries. I can't say enough good things about this place. We can't wait to return!

Spent an extended weekend with our family of 10. One of the most thoughtfully designed and furnished places we've ever stayed. Our children range from ages 6 months to 4 years and they had a blast. Parents and grandparents felt they were safe and so were able to really enjoy ourselves or focus on cooking/cleaning. Thanks to Glenn for opening up this very wonderful place to us a second time!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Good Place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway. In addition to clean and spacious rooms, the views were incredible and the house was well equipped for everyone in our party (ranging in age from 20 -80 yrs). We will definitely be coming back!

Our bookclub took one of our biyearly weekend getaways and this house is by far the top of the list of the several we've stayed in. So clean, good vibe, great views and great communication with the owner. One plus was how little we had to do for cleaning up. So nice. If you've got back issues, pick the beds in the long hallway. No cable, just apps on TV......Press the smart hub button to get to the apps. Anywhere else we stay will now be compared to this house. We'll be back!

It was a lovely home and the view was incredible. The layout is open and the hot tub was great. It is tucked in a quiet area. Great kitchen appliances - fully equipped even a wine storage. Plenty of cups, plates, and utensils. Many towels for hot tub use. This was a family’s home that was well cared for. Some things to consider just in case but may not matter to you. Bring a can opener - the one there is rusty. Wine opener was not entirely effective. Pots and pans good for reheating but not great for cooking. The garbage disposal doesn’t work so you have to filter and clean out the sink yourself. Bedding was clean but they use heavily scented detergent.

Hi, we’ve rented a few houses on Whidbey and this place is our favorite. Lovely space and amazing view.

Perfect place to get a way with friends for the weekend. Plenty of space for 7 adults. Open floor plan and well equipped kitchen share spectacular view of the water and mountains. Short walk to South Whidbey State Park for beach exploration, and the hot tub is just the place the wind down after a fun day!
