A nice modern house, but dealing with the host was a nightmare and I will not be back.

Communication with the host was awful. As an example, despite asking multiple times during the days leading up to our visit for check-in instructions, they were not sent. I called at our check-in time and after being on hold for 30 minutes I was told I needed to pay a £300 deposit before they would be sent. This was the first time I had been asked for it. I then had to do this payment on my phone before they sent me check in details. This meant I checked in considerably later than the agreed time. If they had asked for this deposit earlier I would have been happy to pay it. To make me repeatedly chase them, and then spend part of my holiday on the phone to them, before they told me about it was a terrible experience. The owner visited the property the first evening we were there and was not apologetic.

Before we check in, we were asked to provide a photo with the ID and a bank card as a guarantee. It was exaggerated that it directly transferred the accommodation fee and deposit. We have already paid the accommodation fee on Booking. We are still continuing to communicate about the accommodation fee. Let's see the follow-up progress.

The property has a wonderful location, overlooking the common and a short walk into the city. Stunning views from the sitting room.

The management firm ‘Stay Beyond’ were hopeless. We requested a parking permit and we’re not provided with one. The first hour and a half of our holiday was spent on the phone to them trying to resolve this issue. Eventually it was agreed they would pay for our parking but we are still waiting for our parking money to be refunded and our £300 deposit to be returned despite us chasing this. Such a shame, as the property itself is lovely (just needs cleaning properly and minor things being fixed like a broken bin lid, loose kitchen cupboard doors etc). For this price you would imagine these things to be sorted.

Car parking was extremely difficult and limited and. not as implied on booking.com - allocated parking space was actually just general parking in parking bays with permit - rubbish skip taking one space and all others full. Double yellow lines opposite accommodation entrance and when unpacking car had to pacify traffic warden. Nearest (not near) public paying car park was closed on our arrival day.

Well appointed and comfortable home in an excellent location

The price was a bit steep for Cambridge and the management service was a bit over the top.

It's a lovely house. Easy self-check-in. Nice host.

1. registration process. All adults need to send a photo of themselves handing in their documents. 2. You must pay a guarantee of ±70% of the staying budget. 3. Each room in another flow. Not relevant for small kids / old members.
