My husband and I needed to get away and this was just perfect. Very quiet neighborhood! The property had way more than the 2 of us could do. It would be great for a family with kids. They had a video arcade game machine that had tons of games on it and a garage full of games as well. It truly is just like the pictures, except the gum ball machine was not there. The only thing that I would suggest is bringing paper goods and foil/ziplocks with you. The pantry has spices and condiments, but no paper goods. I usually bring those but forgot this time but it wasn't a problem. They have plenty of dishes. Everything was great and we would rent this property again!

We took our kids and grandkids to the lake to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The area is nice and being able to stay right on the lake was awesome. Stephen was great to deal with. He was very helpful, friendly and communicative. The house has pretty much everything you would need and then some. The coffee and S’mores are a neat touch. The negative: Even though it is the off season, it was obvious that no one had done any upkeep to the exterior of the house in a while. There were spiderwebs literally everywhere once you open the back door. It was really bad. There were ant piles everywhere…even on the steps leading in and out of the house. The gas grill is broken. Only the left side of the burners work. The game room seemed like everything was broken, missing pieces or didn’t work. Same for the board games and stuff. The kids pulled out so many games and couldn’t play any of them because none of them were complete. None of the beds are comfortable. They all squeak and make noise and you can feel the bars through the mattresses. The listing said the master bedroom had a king and a queen and it only has one queen bed. We made it work and we truly had a nice time. I understand the price is higher because of the direct lake access, but I do feel that the listing was somewhat misleading as to what we were getting into.

Had a fun family weekend at the Livingston Lakehouse! Good fishing from the dock, campfire & smores & lots of games. The property had everything we needed. We will definitely come again!

This place was so cozy and inviting. Our family did some fishing, swimming and played some games. Perfect place for spending time together. The owners are also very nice and reachable if you have any questions. We defiantly recommend this home.

Nice house to get away from home. Plenty of games and entertainment provided. Nice out door areas to enjoy the views. Host was very welcoming and provided ample communication on what to do etc. I would recommend this for someone looking to get away like us.

Our family had such a good time! The house is great and has everything you need to enjoy a wonderful vacation. The best part is the great dock and boat house with the rope swings. It is so fun to hop in and swim there all day. Highly recommend this place!

Our family had an amazing time. The large covered dock area was perfect for trying to stay out of the heat while watching the kids swim and fish. When we were inside there were plenty of things to keep both the kids and adults entertained. The owners were super responsive when we had questions and very accommodating. This was probably one of the best rentals we have done on VRBO and will definitely be a repeat renter.

We had a wonderful stay at That Lake House. Our three adult children and their husbands as well as two grandchildren joined us for a weekend of play on the lake. We booked Friday night thru Sunday night and our children stayed until Monday morning and left for work in Houston from there. Stephen made the check in process easy and seamless. We were greeted with a beautiful view of the lake and a quaint home. The living room, kitchen and dining room are designed in such a way that allows for a group to be in the same space in a cozy fun way. The kitchen was stocked with necessities and made cooking for the group easy. Plenty of pots, pans, spices, etc. The bedrooms were comfortable. We utilized the sofa couch which could use a mattress topper to improve comfort for adults..it’s likely fine if children are sleeping on it. All other beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. We have our boat on the lake and went to get it each day for fun on the lake with the family. We were able to borrow the lily pad float and hang on the water as a family Sunday night as the sun set. The house has plenty of games. Although we didn’t use them, lots to choose from should you encounter bad weather etc. The game room in the garage is not air conditioned but would be great to access in the cooler weather. A newly installed video game machine with Pac-Man was a fun addition!! Had a great time and made amazing memories with the family!!

We had the greatest time at That Livingston Lake House! The accommodations were spacious and there were so many areas to enjoy and have fun, both kids and adults alike. The dock is amazing with 2 rope swings and Bluetooth speakers for endless fun or just hang out in a tube to relax by the dock. Several options for outdoor fun available Cornhole, croquet, kickball, 3 tree swings, and campfire pit for s’mores. The garage games were a huge hit. Indoors we enjoyed game night with many games to pick from. Something fun around every corner here. Other amenities that are five star is having full size shampoo, conditioner, body gel, and hair dryers (and diffusers) available in bathrooms. Felt like a hotel! Lots of beach towels were available to use. Pantry and fridge had several community shelves that were stocked with items to use including spices, sugar, coffee, condiments and more. Good stock of pots, pans sheets to cook and stay in. Loved this! The decor is very relaxing and welcoming. This place is great for making family memories and the attention to detail is endless. The owner cares about you feeling at home and it shows. Book it now and you will see. Can’t wait to go back! Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Great place for multi generation family gathering. Plenty of space and activities for both indoor and outdoor fun. This is our second year, I’m sure we’ll return again next year!

The master bed was very comfy….with nice view of the water. we enjoyed our stay and Stephen was the greatest! He even let us check out late because of a huge storm going on. The house has lots of games and entertainment even if the weather takes a turn…..we didn’t cook because town was so close— the country cottage was amazing place for breakfast and we went to blue duck for dinner….just burgers and beer…..nice weekend out of the city!!

We stayed 3 weeks at That Livingston Lake House in April. We fished, ate, and enjoyed seeing family members that we had not been able to visit for a long while. The trip, the house, and Stephen, the host, all were great!

Our stay at That Livingston Lakehouse was the perfect getaway for our family. As soon as I saw the view, I knew I picked the perfect location. Stephen was an excellent host. The livingston lake house was a awesome very well equipped home for me and my family. The place was clean and had a lot of extra amenities that were useful on our visit. Stephen was very helpful with any questions I had. I recommend if you want to stay at a good home on the lake this should be your choice we would love to come back soon.

I took my boys and nephew (7,911) for an end of summer getaway. They had a blast! Fished, swam, and swung all day long. Literally from 5:45 am until I made them come in at 10. The beds were really comfortable, the house really has everything you needed. Sitting on the dock while the sun set was wonderful. We typically travel with our Sonos speaker but didn’t have to for this house! Was super easy to connect my blue tooth to the boat dock speaker.

This house was a perfect fit for our family!! All the details had been thought of from board games to kitchen supplies. It felt like home away from home!!

We stayed here to celebrate my daughter's 13th bday and all of us said this is a house we would definitely return to stay!!! Not pictured is a total game set-up in the garage. We competed in "Garage Olympics" and had a blast!!! Stephen was on the ball with all communications and making sure our stay was top notch. The house is a perfect set-up for small gatherings, beds comfy, kitchen stocked and plenty of room either to lounge inside, sit out back on the deck or take your chairs down to the pier. The screened in porch is a great addition although we never used it much, all our action was down at the pier. There are kayaks you can rent but realize that what goes into the water must come out of the water and that was a challenge for us with the two seater kayak. The floating blu mat (we named it "Matthew") is a game changer!! Easy to put in and out of the water and loads of fun for the kiddos AND adults... a must "extra" if you plan on swimming. The rope swings were a hoot and the swimming from the pier was perfect for cooling off and relaxing during the gorgeous sunsets. We did manage to catch a few fish but the temps were triple digits while we were there so not the right time to reel them in hand over fist. The grill worked perfectly and had we needed it, the fire pit looked great and ready to burn with lots of wood in the waiting. Parking was abundant and shaded by the most beautiful oak tree in the front yard. Overall, this a 5 star rated house that we will return to as we know how fab it is. You won't be disappointed!!! The layout of the house was great for our multi generation family gathering. There were plenty of games for all ages, and lots of space for everyone. The grand kiddos loved running around the huge grassy, fenced in yard. The dock has 2 ladders for easy access into & out of the water. The two rope swings were the highlight of the trip. Beds were comfy, house had everything we needed. We will definitely be back for more!

We had an amazing 3-day weekend at the property. Our party included another couple and a few teen girls. This property was perfect! We had plenty of room for everyone to comfortably sleep - the beds were very comfortable! The location of the property was perfect and is close to the island by boat if you are interested in doing that - the lake was reasonably calm when we were there so we were able to easily kayak and paddle board. The girls loved using the 2 rope swings and got many Instagram worthy pictures. We brought our boat and while we pulled it out each day at the launch just down the street - we were able to securely tie it off at the dock when we wanted to take a quick break. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. The owner is super friendly and quickly responds to questions - we had questions about bringing the boat - and he checked in with us early in stay and made sure everything was good. We also loved using the welcome s’more package and fire pit in the backyard! Loved our weekend and would highly recommend!

We had such a great visit with our family at the lake house! The property was so welcoming and felt like home. So many things to do with the kids (enjoy the lake, smores, air hockey, etc). Stephen was excellent in communication and provided a great vacation experience!

Loved this property! It was the perfect place to enjoy the lake and family time. The house is just as described and there was not one thing that was lacking. Every little detail was thought out, including detailed instructions on everything, extra supplies, a charging station and welcome baskets. Stephen was very helpful and gave quick responses to our questions. We will definitely be back!

Nice backyard with lake view and access. You can rent kayaks from the owner. Lots of games (indoor and outdoor). There is a three story condo building next door. The cleanliness needs to improve

Attention to detail…that’s what separates this house from other stays we had. The house itself is very clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The big windows that face the backyard create an ambiance where you can really connect to nature. There were so many picturesque scenes that looked like stillwater paintings! Beautiful, large backyard with a gorgeous dock…we spent the whole day (into the night) outdoors. So it’s also all about the details. Very thought out and welcoming! The s’mores welcome basket, coffee k-pods, assorted varieties, the basket of beach towels outside. Makes the vacation that much more enjoyable Stephen was very kind and easy to contact. Made himself readily available with any questions we had. Can’t wait to go back!
