Five friends and I stayed the weekend here and it was the perfect house for us. Right off the beach, the house had a lovely combo of access and privacy. The views are stunning and each bedroom is comfortable. The two dogs had a blast as well. We had a great time and would like to go back soon!

The Castle of Westeros is a beautiful and well appointed home. Check-in was easy and the house was clean and welcoming.The beds were comfortable and the claw footed tub in the primary bathroom was an added delight. We made dinner in the kitchen which had all the tools we needed. The beach is just a short walk away. One of our favorite parts of the house was the "crows nest" seating area up a spiral staircase. We saw a bald eagle on the beach and I'm sure you could see whales at the right time of year.Thank you, Michael, for sharing your charming home with us!

This is our second stay 2 years apart. It can’t be beat for ocean views from the comfortable deck and crow’s nest seating area. There is a ramp to the back door for those using a walker and all living, including deck, can be accomplished on one main level. Open living and kitchen to enjoy family time. The downstairs Murphy bed and sofa downstairs were perfect for the gamers to stay up late. Mike was quickly on it when the igniter on the grill didn’t work and saved burger night!

This is a very beautiful and comfortable house. So nicely decorated! The beds are very comfortable. Great kitchen with all the amenities. Lots of light and view with the many large windows. Very nice location in a quiet neighborhood and just a short walk to the beach. Loved the upper platform with great views of the ocean and comfortable stressless recliners. Very comfortable seats on the deck with views of the dunes, ocean, birds, deer,… Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous time at The Castle. It was my fathers 75th birthday and we celebrated with some great clam digging while relaxing in this beautiful home. Beautiful layout for spending time with our family, viewing the ocean, playing game's, cooking and enjoying this spacious environment. The home was perfect for our family, very clean and has all of the amenities you would need. I would highly recommend this property and will be coming back for certain.

It was really lovely and exactly as advertised and we absolutely loved it. This has nothing to do with the host but the Vrbo email system with the host didn’t work on a cell phone. It was fine and we were able to get in a little early as requested and it was truly a 5 star experience. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

My grown children and I had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful home. The home is even nicer than the pictures- soaring ceilings, oversized - well everything- in a really delightful way. The whole place is elegant but very comfortable and not stuffy. Very well equipped with everything you need in kitchen and bathrooms.

The house was nice. The setting was very pleasant. Be prepared for cameras all around the house, hopefully just outside. There is a two car garage to which access is not provided. There were over a dozen locked cabinets/drawers in the house. We had a last moment schedule change and had to cut our stay short a day. The owner/host was not pleasant to work with. He didn’t respond to a voicemail left at the phone number in the VRBO app. He didn’t always respond to texts through the app and when he did he was rather curt right at the edge of being rude. Though we rent on the coast several times each year, we won’t return to this property.

The place is so immaculately decorated with art & decor, huge windows to watch the ocean, creating a very inspiring atmosphere. There were rains and thunderstorms the first day of our stay but it was still gorgeous to see and hear the ocean winds and binge on some shows. There is a path close by to walk to the beach and we enjoyed that in the following days along with our doggo! The location is fantastic for a relaxing stay. We saw deers pass by the backyard everyday. There are grocery stores close by and 10-15 min drive to Long Beach restaurants and bakeries. We wish we had a longer vacation but hope to be back some time!

The house is exceptionally beautiful, well equipped, and the perfect location. The furnishings were so special, my older parents loved looking around to discover different art and furniture.. My kids loved the game room, and the bedrooms worked perfectly for all of us.
The beach access is easy and the town of Ocean Park has grocery stores and whatever you might need. And the owner was responsive when I needed some help with the TV.
It was sad to leave such a great home.

This property delivers. It had everything we needed to fully enjoy the beach in winter. The furniture is very comfortable. The loft space was perfect for watching waves and sunsets. It felt very secluded since you don’t see any other houses from the living room yet it is just minutes from the grocery, parks and other activities. We will certainly consider it for a future getaway.

We chose this place to celebrate Christmas with Family and Friends and this place is so dreamy with a overlook deck in the living room, top notch kitchen essentials, clean bathrooms and bedrooms. A warm welcome note from the host with complimentary wine was so impressive. We would like to visit this place again and again.

We spent 5 nights here with our 4 adult children who live in the Pacific Northwest over Thanksgiving. Everyone loved this house and location. We were looking for a place to be together but that had private spaces (plus, who doesn't love 3 king beds and 3 full baths plus...) With a TV area on main floor and lower level (along with ping pong and etc), plus the "perch" as we called the reading/relaxing area (you get to via the iron circular staircase that has two comfie chairs and a huge floor pillow) and spacious living/dining/great game table area on main level we were in heaven. Great space in the pantry/ laundry room which we set up as our bar and lined our travel coolers on one side. Easy access from this door to grill. This kitchen has everything you would need - between induction cooktop, oven and microwave and plenty of cooking utensils and pans. We cooked together in the kitchen, the seating around the kitchen counter worked perfectly for us , we used the bbq, played board and card games, and started every day with a magnificent walk on the most gorgeous beach and many days returned for a second walk. Great walking beach with hard sand so some days we walked 4+ miles. Looks different at different tides and times of day. The view is magnificent, the way the light plays off the dune grasses, the sunrises, sunsets and watching the ocean waves - amazing. That perfect path directly from back of house to the beach through the dunes is heavenly, or you can take a wider path with a short walk to end of street. The decor never leaves one bored, there's always something new someone noticed. Instructions easy, the few questions we had communication was excellent with owner and we would highly recommend this home. - We did leave one day to hike the Cape Disappointment State Park to the Lighthouse which was great : well marked and mostly wide paths, great vistas along the way and we then had lunch in Astoria. We have been to the Astoria area before, but there is more to do there for those who have not with the maritime museum that's great for all ages, stores, breweries, etc. Plus other nearby parks and hikes. Jacks Country Store which is minutes away does indeed have a lot, as people say, - from groceries to incidentals to more. We loved this spot in November, we can only imagine it's beautiful and different in all seasons.

We had a small family gathering to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday and all had a great time. The fall storms were strong this weekend but the house seemed built to withstand them so we always felt safe and warm. We had moments of sunshine and running around on the beach, even in November. We loved the vaulted ceilings and huge wall of windows for viewing the ocean!

Almost everything about this home was perfect! Plenty of space, all of the kitchen and cooking utensils you could ever need, beautiful rooms with comfortable beds, and just an overall cozy and comfortable beach home. We had an amazing weekend at the beach.
The only room for improvement was the cleanliness. We noticed some areas that looked like they could use some vacuuming before we even unpacked. There was also a random hair clip found under the couch with someone’s hair on it. It was nothing major and I would still stay here again.
