Family Friendly in Sheffield, private yet close to everything!
Maison spacieuse, lumineuse et aérée au milieu d'une prairie sur 20 acres. Intimité totale, à 10 minutes du centre-ville de Great Barrington. Près du ski à Catamount et Butternut. Il y a de la place pour tout le monde, avec 4 chambres, dont deux suites parentales. Le premier étage comprend une cuisine / salon / salle à manger à aire ouverte, ainsi qu'une salle d'eau, un vestiaire spacieux et une magnifique véranda 4 saisons nouvellement ajoutée avec chaleur rayonnante. Il y a aussi une suite parentale avec lit queen au premier étage avec un dressing et une salle de bain avec baignoire jacuzzi. Le deuxième étage a 3 chambres supplémentaires dont une deuxième suite parentale qui a à la fois un lit king size et un lit jumeau, et une salle de bain avec douche à l'italienne (pas de baignoire). Une chambre supplémentaire dispose d'un lit double et la dernière chambre a un lit superposé double. Une salle de bain supplémentaire avec baignoire complète le deuxième étage. Draps en bambou de luxe sur tous les lits. Un lit de voyage et un parc extra large sont disponibles. L'espace bonus de niveau inférieur donne aux enfants un endroit pour jouer et dispose également d'une télévision. La maison très privée se trouve au bout d'une longue allée et est charmamment située dans un parc comme un cadre, avec une prairie remplie de chants d'oiseaux, des plantations de spécimens, un verger et un jardin (plus de photos de saison à venir bientôt!) Idéalement situé à Sheffield, MA, à proximité de South Egremont, Great Barrington, Salisbury / Lakeville, CT et de tous les restaurants, du ski et des attractions culturelles du comté de Berkshire. Tous les appareils électroménagers de la maison ont moins de 5 ans. Les chiens sont considérés. We had a lovely stay in this beautiful home tucked away in the Berkshires. The home was just as described and was a perfect place for our family and friends for the weekend. Great communication with owner, will definitely stay here again if our travels take us to the Berkshires again.

Very delightful and comfort home with convenient but quiet location. Enjoyed the amazing birds, the groundhog, deer and turkey. Just the most beautiful setting and lovely place to stay. Hope to be back soon

Of our 5 family stays in the Berkshires, Peacefield shines. From the secluded setting to the house’ s layout, downstairs and upstairs, including the “playground” downstairs, there is room to relax and spread out. Our family enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is thoughtfully replete with everything one needs from kitchenware to towels. Best was the parklike out of doors where the kids played and ran for hours.

Wish we could have stayed a whole week! (and maybe next time we will). Super clean large house with plenty of space for everyone---the basement a wonderful play area full of great toys for children. This was particularly welcome due to the many rainstorms outside. More kids play things in carport. Top level supplies (soaps, etc.). Did kite flying in the "back 40" (yard). Owner easy to work with. Plenty of different activities in the Sheffield/Barrington area to do.

The house and property were beautiful - very well kept, very well furnished and perfect for 4 couples attending a nearby wedding. Outdoor and indoor spaces were generous - so even with 8 adults, there was space to be together and find 'away time'. We've stayed at VRBO properties for a long time - this is one of the best.

We had such a wonderful time staying at this home! It’s in a rural area far from any other homes and is so beautiful and spacious. Very easy to drive to the nearby towns to grab food and tons of great hikes nearby. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend!!!

Stayed here for Berkshire School graduation and wish we had found this house sooner. Absolutely beautiful property inside and out. First floor primary, gorgeous sun room, perfect bedrooms upstairs. The owners couldn’t have been nicer to deal with. This is a must!

This is an adorable home, and we really enjoyed our stay. There was a glitch early on, though the owner was very responsive and had the issue resolved quickly. Will definitely be looking to see if this home is available for our next visits to the area!

We had a short family vacation over the Thanksgiving holiday with our three adult children. This is a spacious country house set on a large private property, nicely decorated and equipped. We loved the proximity to Great Barrington and to the many hiking options in the nearby mountains. The host was friendly and responsive to all our questions and needs.

This house and the surrounding property is absolutely beautiful! There is a view of nature from every window, and it’s quiet and still, so relaxing! Yet it’s only a short drive to the main road and lots of wonderful shops and restaurants and sights. I can’t wait for our next visit.

We had a wonderful time at this home. There were two families each with two kids under the ages of 8. There were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and space for the kids to run around. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Close enough to town and the ski resorts but remote enough to feel like you have escaped to the country. We definitely would stay again!!!!

We had a relaxing time at the house which is beautifully located and amazingly well-equipped, We really loved walking around the property, looking at animal tracks in the snow and seeing the farm nearby with grazing horses.

Abby's home is beautiful! When we arrived, the property was clean, and check-in was easy. We enjoyed using the fire pit, sitting in the sun room, and strolling around the backyard. I cant wait to visit again!

Perfect in every way
We loved our time here. My adult children and their spouses joined my husband and me for a long weekend. The house is beautiful. The property is beautiful. We brought our two elderly dogs and they loved wandering around outside. If we had young children with us, that would have worked well, too, as this house is very child-friendly. Located close to everything we could want in the Berkshires. Also spent a few hours in Manchester, VT. The only downside was that our schedules did not permit us to stay longer. I would love to visit again if we travel to the area in the future. Thank you for everything!

Kid-Friendly Getaway
We had a really wonderful stay at this property - there were nine of us, four adults, five kids, and one dog. The house was clean and comfortable and welcoming. The house was stocked with plenty of towels, sheets, a pack and play, booster seats for the little ones, all the kitchen amenities, and more. We didn't even need to bring toys - there were plenty of great ones available in the home - and a swing set outside. There was plenty of space inside and a beautiful outdoor space to explore and run around. We went tubing at Butternut and got massages at a local place in Great Barrington, only 10 minutes away. It was a much needed getaway with friends we hadn't seen in awhile. We hope to stay there again. Thanks!

Gathering in the Berkshires
I can't say enough about this idyllic beautiful home in a great location. Hiking, Great Barrington, wonderful restaurants, and quaint little towns are all nearby. The owner is very responsive to any requests or questions. I was actually sad to leave.

Great family house, beautiful location
This house was perfect for a family with kids, including my 4 year old daughter and 3 year old niece. Lots of fun toys in the basement, swing set and great yard! The location was beautiful and easy to access many nearby restaurants and activities. Very well kept and beautifully maintained house. I would highly recommend!

Stayed for daughter's wedding
We rented this home for our daughter's wedding and stayed 5 nights. It was the perfect property, so spacious, comfortable and beautiful for our extended family group. Wish we had stayed even longer as the area in fall is so marvelous and the home and property so beautiful..

Welcome Home
The property was beautiful, clean and cozy. It was like coming home. Everything was there that you could need from cooking to relaxation. The out door space was functional and relaxing. We loved relaxing by the fire pit in the evening. The children (and adults) didn’t want to leave. The owner was responsive and pleasant and helpful with our questions. Probably one of the most kid friendly house that we have been to. Well appointed for all ages.

Family Weekend
This house is even more amazing in person. The property was perfect for my two kids who had the playroom downstairs and a beautiful sprawling yard to run in. The beds were very comfortable and the 4 season room was cozy. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Weekend Getaway
This property is stunning. We stayed here on a weekend ladies getaway. It was close to hiking spots, fit all of us comfortably, and we especially appreciated the kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, dishes, etc. It made cooking in very easy. I would highly recommend staying here. And communication with Abby was fantastic.

Exceptional House, Lovely Setting, A++++
Our family (2 adults, 3 teens) had a wonderful week-long stay at this beautifully appointed home in an amazing location. Abby, the owner, is communicative and responsive; she went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was fantastic (including shipping a brand new drip coffee maker to the house to make our stay even better!) The house is spacious and beautifully decorated; the sunroom was a favorite space for us all, but the patio and fire pit were a close second! The nighttime stars and sounds of nature were wonderfully restorative. The house was immaculate; the bedding and linens were luxurious and plentiful; the kitchen had top-brand appliances, etc. I would highly recommend this house/host to all.

Relaxing family getaway in Berkshires
We had a wonderful two weeks in this great house just outside Sheffield. The garden is huge and kids adored the space to run around outside - or in the basement games room if weather got a bit wet.
Everything was clean and well equipped inside. Lots of space for us and if we had had a larger party too (we only used two of four bedrooms). Check in was super straightforward and communication with the property owners was easy and really helpful. In fact, we had a car breakdown issue and the owner was extremely kind to help us out. Very thoughtful!
As a family we have enjoyed a few trips to the Berkshires as we love the area. This house is perfectly situated close to Barrington and other towns and good trails for hiking etc. I can imagine that in the summer the house is even more special with the garden in full bloom. We were so happy to have chosen to spend Spring Break here.

Magical Getaway
We definitely wish we rented an extra night, this was a trip to celebrate with our wedding party for our upcoming wedding. The space was clean, spacious and cozy! The pictures are true to what you get! Will hopefully be back to enjoy the property again!

Amazing Berkshires house!
We had the loveliest stay at this gorgeous home. It is thoughtfully designed and cared for, and was a true joy for our family over the holidays. We loved the layout of the house and the kitchen was perfect for cooking big meals. The sunroom is dreamy, and the kids had a blast in the basement playroom and on the outdoor swing-set. Beds were super comfortable and rooms stay dark with blackout shades. Can't beat the location. Amazing hospitality. We hope to return!

Relaxing Weekend @ Peacefield
This is a beautiful and spacious home! Abby was very responsive and helpful with any of our requests over the weekend. The beds are SO comfortable. Made it hard to get up each day, but we managed in order to take advantage of the property :) Definitely hoping to come back in the future.

Such an amazing house!
Actually - no, don't stay here! We want to come back and if it's booked we might actually cry.
Few places we have stayed on VRBO actually work for a family with multiple kids. This did, for a few reasons. First, enough places to sleep - including a bunk bed, and a single in the master suite (SO GOOD if you have a little one who doesn't like being far from parents, I wish we had this at home). There's also a great playroom in the basement, kids books, and some toys... plus the roku to keep the kids occupied as needed.
The adult space is great too. It's a kitchen you can actually cook in, with a great open floorplan on the first floor. And everything was so clean and neat!
It's a short drive to civilization, but a long way to a neighbor's house, and the haybales in the field lend a nice bucolic touch

Perfect Berkshire Getaway
We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The house gorgeous and the yard and wooded area around it is a lot of fun to explore with the kids. The location is perfect in that it's a beautiful home in a very private location but also only 10 minutes to downtown Great Barrington. We hope to return again and again!

Staying here was quite perfect. The setting, design and layout of the house, cleanliness and coziness were all even better than the pictures. My group and I would have happily stayed another month. My thanks to Abigail for being a wonderful host. Would love to come back!
