The room was quiet and clean. But a few things i want to mention that's not correct
First we arrived on the airport and called the hotel to arrange a taxi for us. But apparently the staff didn't speak English. They gave us a number. but the request was to arrange a taxi for us. ( keep in mind it's a 5 star hotel) After our second call they arranged a local taxi, he was really nice and during our stay he was our go to taxi for everywhere.
When we arrived, the check in was a bit to long, we were hungry and wanted to go asap to the room to drop our stuff and go to the restaurant.
On arriving the restaurant we were kindly noticed that is was closing. Instead of a good evening or welcome.( except the girl working there that evening was kind to us) Menu was really small with a few items on it. So it was our first and last diner in the hotel. After we had breakfast we start to realizing that the hotel is not located on the beach as stated on booking.com, there is a busy road to cross. So we regretted for booking this hotel. After a nice day around the island, we returned to the hotel and wanted to watch a movie, but every channel is in French except for the BBC1.. Then we thought, we have a smart tv as stated on their own website. BUT, it is not usable seen the hotelapp running on the tv.. Basic items in room not present in the room only upon request. Water kettle and a iron. but other useless items they have available in the room. No concierge service. No multilanguage staff. No heated pool. I know it's nice to have 5 stars, but if it's the bare minimum.. It's better to be a good 4 star hotel than a muah 5 star. So my pro tip: check your information web wide, adjust as needed and reconsider basic room amenities ( kettle). Enlarge restaurant menu, don't try to be Michelin star restaurant, if you don't have a second option available due renovation. And last important thing, if someone ask for a beer, don't promote a beer from Madagascar, but a local one in a matching glass.

Pool and bar area
Really not a 5 star. Maybe 3.5. Poorly managed. Had an issue at the restaurant. Waited 2 hours for the mains. General manager completely dismissive of the poor service. No apologies and staff simply rude when questioned. The waitress even suggested that waiting 30 minutes to ask for a glass of wine was how she was trained.

In regards to our stay, we liked the staff, always smiling and willing to help. We liked our greating with the ice-tea and the fact that one staff walked us to our room. The food and cocktails were delightful! The room that we had was fantastic, amenities were great, the view was spectacular of the ocean, beautiful garden, swimming pool was a wonder, plus we had our own private pool which was lovely:)
We did not like the cats walking through the restaurant during dinner, especially being a 5 star hotel.
I am a hospitality worker overseas and I did not like the sight of the birds coming to peck on the service spoons for breakfast. I find it very unhygenic, as we saw many people going to serve their food with it after that:(
We had a family room that we paid for before hand, but when we were leaving we were told to pay for the extra beds for our kids. It came as a surprise since we thought everything was already covered in advance, as it was a family room and checked in with two adults and two children from the start. We do think we should be given our money back for the money we paid for the kids beds.

The infinity pool with view onto the ocean is beautiful. Rooms are well equipped, clean , and comfortable . Staff were at all times curtious, and helpful. Unfortunately the choice of dishes to choose from at dinner was extremely limited .
The choice of food you can order at dinner was extremly limited , no variety to choose from . Definitely needs improvement !!

Great proximity to the beach - right across the street from the hotel. Good pool at the hotel with and outstanding view of the ocean! Breakfast was very good (though it was bought at extra charge - what is usually included in the price of 4-5 star hotels) - good selection and quality.
The first superior room with the ocean view did not have much of the view since right in front of our balcony there were high bushes and a tree which were blocking the view of the ocean. After our inquiry, the hotel offered us an alternative room - it was smaller but had a much better view. We agreed to change the room, but later found out it was a lower category room (smaller, no complementary pastries or candies, no bath robes or sleeper...) than the one which we paid for (no refund to cover the price difference was offered). Overall - hotel is good, view from the pool and lounging chars - outstanding, breakfast and the bar - great. Value for money - ... have to think...
