Close to the centre of town
There was an electrical device that issued a noxious spray! The mattress was only just wide enough for two bodies, but the springs were so soft that when either of us moved the other was bounced about! My wife ended up sleeping on the floor and still has a painful back.
The bar did not take cash - In don’t remember seeing any mention of this on the web page.
Not an issue that the pub could do anything, but the noise from football revellers did not cease until 1:30

Kevin took really good care of us. Thank you!✨so much appreciated, will definitely recommend you. 😊

Hôtel charmant, chambres joliment décorées, emplacement au top. Réception au bar, apéro offert à l’arrivée. Très bon petit déjeuner au rez dans le pub, design sympa « après-ski ».
Seul bémol, vue sur le parking.

The location, comfort and staff - wonderful place!
Nothing!
3.5
Great Location and parking over the road easy, very well thought out spaces in the pub and bedrooms (stairs a little tight) Very well decorated and comfy bed. We ate in the pub both nights and the bar food was excellent (skinny fries PLEASE) Great selection of craft beers, very friendly helpful staff. Simple breakfast was perfect to send us on our way very happy with our stay.
You could not have squeezed an inch more of useful space out of this lovely old pub, well designed, well done.
Thank You to the Team at the Rose & Crown
TV in the bedroom, Skinny Fries on the Bar menu, silly I know but it would have complimented such a great stay by just 5%
Nothing else and this is not really not to like, just a critique.

Stunning pub full of character. The room [Beatrice] were quiet, the bed was comfy, the shower was excellent and the breakfast was incredible - a choice of various breakfasty goodies including a Bacon Bap, cereals, pastries, yoghurts, fruits etc etc - and obviously freshly brewed tea & coffee. Few mins from both the station (where taxis are based) and town centre. 24hr access.
Maybe provide a toilet brush? Window could only open a tiny crack but they provided a fan.

Loved the quaint and quirky atmosphere
Staff very welcoming

The price point was acceptable
Room was adequate for the price
The pub was nice
Incredibly noisy. Everything was loud and made for an unpleasant stay. All doors slam in the accommodation and given (i believe) some rooms have a shared bathroom, it makes for regular slamming of doors.
Unable to get a good night sleep due to the noise. It finally quietened down around 2.30am. Most of the noise came from directly outside my window.

Breakfast good
Bedroom overlooked by car park . No net curtain or shutters . Roman blind meant darkness or light .was unnerving to see a lone man sitting in his car able to look straight in my window for quite a while

Kevin and his team were very welcoming
My room was lovely with a good ensuite
Lovely wine bar and funky little beer garden
The only thing that could be improved is the pillows, they were very thin and plumper pillows would make it perfect! 😊

The staff were friendly
The room door didn't open all the way because the bed was in the way. And the bed was the smallest "double" I have ever seen. Not wide enough for two people.

There was nothing I did not like.

Good position and friendly service
The noise in the beer garden was a bit much at tumes, though it didn't reach the bedrooms

Lovely accommodation above the pub, tastefully decorated and full of character (but be careful of the low ceilings). We stayed in the Juliet Family Suite, very comfortable spacious main room with large ensuite. Separate children's room with low ceilings. Great heating. Breakfast was included and was delicious. 5 minutes walk from the station and very close to the centre of town. We didn't eat at the Rose & Crown as food options were limited, but there is a great pub directly opposite with more extensive menu and great food.
Check in was a bit mixed up, we'd arranged to arrive at 2:45pm and no one was there, fortunately there is a lovely covered seating area around the back and staff were there by 3pm.

we love this charming little pub inn

Very comfortable bed, hot shower, great location to the station.
I’d not quite clocked the bedroom overlooks the pub garden when we booked so it was a bit noisy until 11 every night. The stairs and bathroom are all in the eaves so there was a lot of squatting down to look in the mirror and to get back down the stairs! Also we were asked what time we wanted breakfast by email at 9pm the night before and our response an hour later then wasn’t picked up so everything was locked up when we got downstairs at 8.45 and we’re told to wait 15 mins whilst they set up. I think that should all be discussed at the start of the stay so there’s time to communicate everything across.

A beautiful little room, up a flight of stairs, into a hobbit door! Great shower, nice bed, tea and kettle.

Decor was very nice and basic and nothing to over the top. There was plenty of space for us.
We had one incident our daughter had the pad full out of the wall on to her. So that just need like a latch so it don't fall out.

This is a very handy central location. Although on the small side, the room was very comfortable with an excellent bathroom en suite.

A really nice cosy warm bedroom in a 16th century pub in the centre of pleasant historic Surrey market town.
The bathroom was large, modern, and very clean.
Breakfast offered a choice of cereals and porridge, fresh fruit, yoghurt, a selection of croissants, and a range of teas and coffee. Service was pleasant and efficient.
Everything in the town is only a short walk away.
Probably slightly overpriced, but no complaints.

Great location, charming rooms and wonderful friendly service
I had a room facing the Main Street so being a light sleeper I was woken up by the street noise

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous - the building and the rooms all have so much character. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very efficient. We also really enjoyed the continental breakfast with fresh fruit and hot pastries. The room was very comfy with a great shower, and tea, coffee, and a kettle available in the room. The food served in the pub downstairs is also absolutely delicious.
The only complaint was the bed was quite small. It was however very comfortable so this is really very minor and did not detract from our stay.

small and friendly; really warm and comfortable room, very clean and the breakfast was great. It was simple but excellent quality - the fruit is the best I have ever had!
The noise but as it’s a pub it wasn’t a problem and it didn’t go past 12.30pm - it wasn’t a problem for me because I was tired and the room was lovely and location is absolutely perfect.
