very clean, big room

Really happy with my stay; friendly staff, super clean room, the bed was 5 star, lots of fresh towels, powerful shower, good internet and a peaceful nights sleep (impossible in the downtown hotels)...I woke up to refils of fresh coffee...that's all my boxes ticked! I'll book this hotel again.

it was a little out of town but I picked it because it was. it was quiet.

Very nice rooms, aircondition and fan very new, everything in top condition! Amazingly clean everywhere! Very comfortable beds! Free water and coffee in the morning! Nice Pool! But best thing about the place is the charming staff, nice girls at the reception, lovely cleaning Lady and very nice owners, I would definetely come back! Thank you!

Sparkling clean, very simple rooms with fan and aircon which you'll need, and lovely staff who are chatty and helpful. It's safe but you will have to walk 15 minutes into town, which I prefer while others may not. Ensures it is quiet at night and in the mornings.

This is a fairly new place, ,room are set with good taste, pool is literally at the front of the rooms. Small little hotel - yet spacious rooms, with comfy bed. Well maintained and clean. The personell is very kind and helpful. Not in the center, but very close, plus you can find literally any aminities you need at the avenue ( laundry, Oxxo's, restaurants, clothes, pharmacy, etc). Good value for money, we liked it here. :)

We had a kitchenette, but nothing in it really helps to actually use it- except for a fridge and a sink. Not sure what the purpose to be honest:) I think a few pictures on the walls and a little rug, some finishing touches would make the rooms a little more cozy. (just a suggestion :)) And we had a few bad experiences with super loud and drunk guests a few nights. As the place is small and the common area is literally front on the room's door: it can be super disturbing when some decides to have a boozy nihgt with loud music and screamy bouncies into the pool late at night.... Apparently some people turn up to have a pool party from the village- not respecting the guests at all...... sad, cos otherwise it is a great place to stay.

Hotel Del Mar also has apartments for rent which is where I stayed. 800 meters from beautiful Barra de Navidad beach. Surrounded by small local shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, pharmacy, laundromat, everything you’ll ever need for this beautiful kitchenette! King size bed and bath. Large flat screen TV with several American channels. Nice balcony overlooking the street and great sunsets! Best of all was the owners,Polo and Patricia, beautiful people who go out of their way to ensure your stay is trouble free. During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic P&P cut through all the red tape and all required tests and results were arranged in record time. I’ve travelled the world but have never had such sincere, gracious hosts! Mucho Gratuous!!!

Hey, Barra de Navidad is in the tropics, and ants ( little ones ) gravitate to any scraps of food left in the open. Buy some bug spray and use generously on the balcony. Easily purchased in town or at the local farmers market which occurs right outside the front door every Thursday. Oh yeah, this place is also very secure with locked entrances and safe in large closet. No crime around there anyway, all the people are very helpful and friendly!
