the property was really nicely located and was a nice little hotel

the included breakfast options was toast with basic spreads and fruit... a little disappointed

The location was good.

The rooms were dirty, floors were sticky and brown. staff laughed at me when i told them we were locked out as the door wouldn’t open, took 3 other guests in the hotel to open the door.

Location.

Couldn’t park at the door of a ground floor unit due to staff parking there. Overflowing outside bins. Dirty carpark with cigarette butts mixed with leaves. Side gate to street left open. Unmaintained hedges. Sticky taped blinds. Screws missing from wooden hanging rack. Kitchen handles screwed in crooked. Sign in kitchen of threats of a $100 fine if you don’t take your own rubbish out of the bins. Filthy smoking rusty tin overflowing in the carpark.

The view of the lake out the back, shower was nice&hot, kitchen was lovely but vent needed attention.

The photo's on booking.com are VERY misleading, loungeroom in the unit we ended up with was so small, not at all what I thought I was getting. Bathroom was ridiculously small and needs updating as the metal pieces are rusting and the toilet was leaking, rubbish bin lid was broken&Air-conditioning also needs cleaning and rattled all night. I think if the management were smiling and friendly and gave the place a good clean up the price would be ok, but as it is right now it is definitely not worth the high price they are charging.

The bed was comfortable

The email said we look forward to welcoming you as our guest. There was no one at reception. I waited in the wind for awhile then I rang. I was told my room number and that the key is in the door end of. so much for a welcome in fact the reception was vacant and locked from 2 o’clock onwards and probably before. There was a noisy sewer pipe outside my door sticking out of the ceiling of the car park. The air-conditioner was so clogged with the dust. The air was only coming out slowly from the end of the vent. The bathroom ceiling was quite mouldy. I have stayed in many motels and have never seen a notice in the room that says if I don’t empty the rubbish bin before I go, I will get fined an extra $100. This is absurd. Empty the bin is part of cleaning. Am I to assume that they don’t actually do cleaning? I should’ve read all the bad reviews online before booking this dump all the furniture and fittings are outdated and worn. The TV did not work at all.

The lady at reception was nice, I felt sorry for her working there.

1. Very small. 2. Noisy due to traffic. 3. Kettle cord was melted to wires. 4. Blind to small on door, glass panel anyone could straight into room and bathroom. We had to hang something on door. On bottom floor also which had sight of carpark. 5. 3 pillows for 2 people that were old and very thin, blankets very thin. 6. Bulk head hangs very low that you hit your shoulder room size didn’t help. 7. BUGS in the bed. Offered another room but was told that the big problem had been an issue due to rain so that was a big NO. 8. We were there maybe 30 mins and decided to leave. No refund was offered. Took up with manager and booking.com. No apologies, no refund, nothing. Had to find another motel at 5 in the afternoon and pay again. Very disappointed!

The check-in was super efficient and rooms were ready for us inspite of booking this accomodation at the last min. The rooms in the picture matched with the real place. The apartments were clean, bed were really comfy, enough linen and toiletries. Kitchen, Fridge, TV, central aircon everything worked and had basic amenities as needed for a short stay. The place has a small swimming pool and jacuzzi, which worked fine and the kids loved it. The lawns opened straight into the lake where the sunset was amazing to watch. Inspite of the small-ish building, there were sufficient car parking spot for all hotel rooms. The Manager was very accommodative of our requests and allowed us an extra check-out hour as we had small kids with us. Very happy and definitely a great place to stay overnight at Toukley.

Given that the rooms are super big to maximise comfort, the bathroom of the ensuite was very small and was difficult for ease of use, though the second toilet was pretty spacious.

Room was big. Facilities were good.

The cleaners blocked my car in and wouldn't move to let me out. Very rude.
