Very friendly staff. Much nicer than previous night's stay in another hotel. Liked that there was a biergarten and restaurant on site. We enjoyed both.

There was no AC, but given the region it's understandable. Our fault that we traveled in the midst of a worldwide heat wave. Fans in the rooms would have helped.

Great room for the price. Clean accommodations with coffee/tea in room. Easy walk to downtown area.

Getting in touch with somebody was challenging. Doors were locked so we went into restaurant entrance and was ignored. After several phone call attempts we were able to reach someone able to speak English who then unlocked the door. Once we got into the hotel, there were no problems.

Convenient to old town but with free parking. Good buffet breakfast. Nice people

Curtains at an angle with didnt black out very well. Faint hum of airconditioner or similar. But i am being petty. Neither really bothered me and the good far outweighs very minor pickiness

Ideal for travellers. Clean room has everything one needs for overnight stay, inclusive tea kettle with selection of tea and coffee. Windows are soundproof. Plenty of parking behind the ramp. Walking distance to city walls. Beer from the tap at hotel restaurant. wifi flawless.

The staff not really interested in doing their job, arrived to empty reception, although there is the automatic thingy on the door and camera which informs staff you arrived, 5min no one answered… went to the restaurant and informed waitress that I booked the room and would like to get in… answer “just a moment “…. 20min later no one arrived, went in to restaurant again and found the waitress and receptionist chatting around…. receptionist not very happy there is another customer…. The hotel rooms are on top of the “cocktail bar” which is place where people come for a night out and it is quite loud, the music and people outside on the parking below room windows.

Breakfast was good and prompt. Staff was very friendly.

The Waitzinger is In a wonderful setting, with a beer garden shared with two other food and/drink outlets. A relaxed atmosphere adds to the holiday feel. The place has recently been renovated to a high standard. All guest areas look great. My room (11) is perfect for a sole traveller for one night. Comfy bed, very nice shower. TV and tea/coffee facilities. Good wi-fi throughout the premises. The ladies of the establishment are clearly the workhorses here! The lady that stepped in to sort out the check-in issue was great. She hit the spot and couldn't do enough to make me feel welcome. Waitzingers is a lovely place to stay. I wouldn't hesitate to revisit with friends/family. Overall: fair value, relaxing atmosphere and comfortable with nice food.

25th August. On arrival, I felt there was some lack of coordination. I got the impression that (some) staff are new: I got no explanation of facilities and procedures. As with reception, ditto the barman; a guest ordering a drink for example should be able to ask any member of bar staff. A friend loitering around shouldn't distract him from his job. The bar shut before 9.45pm. I found this quite strange as guests were still in the beer garden. Again, this may be a new staff issue, but male staff seemed a little lost, if not lacking in customer service skills.
