There were good & not so good things about the property. Great neighborhood & layout of the house was good for our needs. We were delighted to see a young black bear out back the first night! Kitchen was adequate & there were plenty of pots/pans, etc. Sadly, there were some disappointments. In 2 bedrooms, there were free standing AC units that had hoses out the window for venting. The hoses were taped to a board that was attached to the windowsill with duct tape. (not on pictures) Duct tape did not hold up well & was constantly falling apart allowing insects to enter. The one in the bunkroom scared the children when it fell apart. (we retaped it twice) The side of the AC unit in the upstairs king room was broken leaving a gaping hole where all manner of critters could enter. Bathrooms & linens were clean, but the mantel & other surfaces were dust covered, & dirt/dust under the furniture. Fridge had yellowish substance on several shelves, dish drainer had sticky goo, crumbs & dirt in cupboards/drawers, & cobwebs in the corners of the windows. Porch was filthy. We noted several exposed junction boxes, missing bulbs, & non-working interior & exterior lighting. Upstairs railing is too wide to be safe for kids. The whole place needs a deep clean and a handyman. (we discovered AFTER arriving that WE were expected to wipe all surfaces & sweep floors before we left - AND pay the large cleaning fee!) Lake & playground were great! Could be really nice if kept up and cleaned.

It was clean, peaceful and we sure will go back another time.

My family and I had a wonderful time. The house was clean. Truly stocked with anything and everything you will need. Secluded enough but not isolating. Cozy and spacious. We didn’t want to leave! A great break from the city.

For the most part the house inside was tidy, cleanly, and decorative. Had everything you could think that you might need. Our best and favorite part of our stay was all the wild life we seen. Couldn’t have been better for enjoying all the wild life and closeness for hikes and swimming

Getting into the house was pretty easy. First night we were able to watch a mom & baby black bear cubs at the neighbor's house. We also saw the bears one other time our week. Proximity to beach was nice and the kids enjoyed the beach and play ground. Beach area was kept nice. The house was clean and comfortable. Being in the woods a few mice traps are needed.

our daughter (5) had been wanting to try her hand at skiing, so we rented this property for the weekend. we really enjoyed our time here. the owner was communicative and helpful, everything about the listing proved accurate. and our daughter had a great time on the slopes! a perfect place to spend a winter weekend.
