My stay on this property was fantastic. My family of four had ample space and absolutely loved walking out onto the beach every day. Campfires on the beach at night. The king size bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend visiting the Beachside Grill restaurants for breakfast.

My boyfriend and I, along with our two dogs, had a lovely weekend at the lake house. Jody was very kind, and responsive to any questions we had. We loved that the beach was just outside the back door, and we could hear the waves from inside the house with the windows open. We have recommended this home to family and friends, and hope to go back again for another visit.

We haven't been able to see our families since Covid. This was our first time back. We live on the water and wanted to be on the water. With our black lab, and have the family in to Enjoy the water also . This place was perfect. Everyone who saw it fell in love with it. And the beach was amazing. Everyone we met there were so friendly. It was so relaxing. I highly recommend this beachy cottage getaway.

My wife and I celebrated her bday weekend here and had a great time. The house was cozy and charming with an amazing view to wake up to. The only thing we may change in the future is the time of our visit as we quickly learned about mayflies, but it didnt stop of from having a great stay. The beach was perfect and really did have a private feel. In short, we would definitely come back.

The house is located right on a large and clean beach . While the home is older, it has been updated and had everything we needed on a two night stay . The house was clean and had a wonderful view. The hostess was easy to get a hold of and helpful.

I want to thank Jody and Jeff for a wonderful stay. The cottage was as advertised, right on the beach. The weather was perfect and on my first night there i was invited to join them at their beach campfire. I felt welcomed as an old friend. I brought my dogs with me and they loved being able to play in the sand then run into the water right out of the back door. it was great and i would happily go back again!

We vacationed here at the end of August. Upon arrival, we walk in to find two post it notes on the table. One read that the back door was broken due to the last rental group and the second told us that the contractor didn’t arrive and the bathroom was under construction. We should have left right then. *we were never warned of the Reno’s* There were numerous issues with our stay (listed below) but what really was the most disgusting, was when we brought our complaints to the home owner. There was no acknowledgement whatsoever but accusations instead. Our concerns were completely ignored and were told that we broke their furnace/electrical (which was held together with duct tape and was leaking water), AND they accused us of stealing $700 worth of pillows, towels and bedding. It’s beyond shocking and flat out ridiculous. We didn’t even have a blanket for our daughter, who used one from our car-the audacity to say we stole stuff is mind blowing. The location/town is amazing but the owners are unhinged and the cottage was unsuitable for rental. Below was our note to the owners. Hello We would like to inform you guys that after many frustrating moments, we have decided to leave early. The kicker is the fact that the AC broke yesterday around 4pm. Coming to your home, we never expected to walk in and have the place under construction. You did not warn us therefor were not honest with us. Unacceptable. There is zero ventilation or lighting above the stove. It’s not only dangerous but a fire hazard. Like the note you left said - the bathroom is under construction. There are holes in the walls. Ceiling. Give me a break. Only one garbage bag was left in over stock and no recycling bin. No laundry basket. Dishes were dirty in the cupboards. We spent the first three hours of arrival cleaning countertops and such with the wipes provided. Photos provided. The “clean” sheets were tied in a plastic grocery bag left in the corner of the closet. Which we washed because we were unsure if they were clean. The fact that not only the back door is broken but the front door as well (no screen). Is there any pride in ownership? There are many other things we could list but it only angers us. Like no cooking oil even - what is going on here?!? And you claim there was a fully stocked kitchen. This was unbelievably disappointing and in no way was your home adequate for rental.

Fantastic property literally right on the beach. Great host, very attentive. House had a few little rough spots, but was clean and perfectly functional where it matters. Internet was solid, TV was big and had lots of channels. Shower/tub was great as was the washer and dryer. We will be booking this one again for sure!!

I will start by saying that this cottage is not "perfect" and some might be even turned off by some of the "unperfections". However, our family didn't come to this cottage looking for a "perfect" cottage trip. If you are looking to have fun in the water and a beach front, this cottage has plenty of that. While, the waters and beach were a little rough, it never stopped or slowed down my family from spending most of the day here. This is 1 of 2 reasons we rent this cottage. The 2nd reason are the amazing and friendly owners. Jody and her husband were very accommodating and was a pleasure to be around. They were not intruding and was helpful whenever we needed it. Thanks again for everything Jody. We will be back again next year for the 3rd time. See you then.

This property is definitely a work in progress, but the location is perfect! Having such easy and direct access to the beach was such a treat. I will definitely consider booking again in the future! Jody is a great host, and I can't wait to see what she does with the cottage!

This place is not fancy. It is well loved but clean. Great to be right on the beach and the property manager is friendly and accommodating.

The beach itself caused me to give this home 5 stars! Literally, a perfect beach! I don’t think we could have asked for anything better. The house could use some updating — there are some unfinished projects. But, if you are planning on spending your time exploring and being on the beach, you won’t even be inside the home. The home owner was very friendly and helpful. The neighbors are the absolute sweetest! I do believe we will go back one day. Our kids had the best time!

We had an amazing time at the Beach, beautiful property, home is very cozy, beach is clean and water if beautiful with no foot traffic, my kids enjoyed the sand, water and fishing at the inlet, would recommend bringing your own bedding, pillows, toiletries I.e toilet paper, firewood and fishing rods, Jody was awesome at responding to questions.

Amazing experience. We had a really great time with our family of 4. The host was very responsive and welcoming.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jody's little slice of heaven. She is putting a lot of effort into updating the property. We had a small issue and she helped us sort it out very quickly. Can't beat the views of the lake from inside the home and outside on the deck. Great place for couples or a small family to enjoy. We look forward to returning.

My wife and 2 kids had an amazing time at this cottage. The rooms were nice and clean, there was a great view of the beach from the bedroom, and the beach was gorgeous. My kids went swimming everyday.

The cottage was cozy, private, and clean. It had all the supplies and amenities needed for our stay. There was a small issue with the toilet knob, but Jody got someone out to us within an hour to fix it and we no longer had any problems with it. The cottage had a private access to the beach and lake, and its located not so far from the main street/ downtown area, which was convenient. Overall, we were happy with our gateway and appreciated Jody and Jeff's hospitality. .

A small quaint 1 big bedroom cottage perfect for a family of 4. The best 3 features of the cottage for us: AC, private beach, and quietness. If you want to escape from a hectic life, this is the cottage to be...you can even say not having wifi meant our family had to do without our devices. Jody thank you so much for everything. We will definitely be renting from you again next year.

We had a wonderful 2 day getaway. Property was great, clean and comfortable. Our hostess Jody was awesome and always responded quickly. Would definitely return!

Physical location is awesome, our private beach had weeds and garbage, my husband found a sharp rusty piece of metal in the sand. - place needs a lot of tlc from owner. Bbq didn't work, the backup had full grease traps and kept catching fire Carpet had stains all over, "frat house"style. Run down inside most furnishings look like old garage sale finds. We had a black out, no candles or flashlight, owner told me to run to town to get some. Wore sandals in shower, good water pressure. Satellite tv worked well.Beautiful location on lake Erie, would come back to Kingsville, but not this cottage.

Beautiful location! Having access to the water every morning and night made the trip for us. Whether it rained or was sunny didn’t matter it was just wonderful. The cottage was perfect size for us. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Jody is an absolute wonderful host. Very attentive and informative!

Needs some work done. Definitely have wifi for guests!!!!!!! Behind fridge, cupboards, and all blinds needed cleaning. Cobwebs in corners. Outside of property needs TLC. Furniture should be steam cleaned . Need a good take for the beach. Barbecue should be moved to the back of the house . :). The stove was filthy inside and the fridge needed cleaning on the outside . Need new fridge . Kitchen blinds are filthy!! And bathroom ones as well . Need a blind on the bedroom window behind the bed. The curtains were held open by twine, we had to cut the twine to close them . Need new carpet. Looks like a stain remover was used to spot clean the carpet .the barbecue has a huge dent on the lid of it, and the inside of the barbecue is filthy!! Love the open concept of the main floor! Glad to have had satellite, but need wifi!! The bedroom was very pretty. The bed should be higher. The view was very pretty and the neighbours next door were very nice to talk to !! Glad to have had a/c, and a washer and dryer:)). No water issues :).

Great location, close to Town of Kingsville. Long clean beach .

I will start by saying you cannot beat the location of this property. The beach access, and easy drive to town was a huge draw for us and it did not disappoint. The cottage is a great size for a couple, or small family, much bigger than I had expected from the pictures, and the air conditioning was a huge bonus with the 35°+ weather! The issues we had were with the cleanliness of the entire unit. When we arrived it was clear the place had merely been wiped down, and it became my job to do a deep clean before I could unpack anything. I contacted Jody and she was quick to reply to my concerns and was very apologetic, and asked me to forward pictures to pass along to her cleaners. However no one came to empty the garbages like she had indicated during our stay. The fridge was covered in old remnants of food, along with something sticky all over the freezer and black mold along the door. The toilet had not been cleaned, and there were wrappers under furniture that indicated to me it had not even been properly vacuumed. After over an hour of thorough cleaning, including grime from the outlet covers in the kitchen, and something that looked like pop spray on the living room wall, the rest of our stay really was enjoyable. The unit is definitely more dated than I had expected from the pictures, but nothing overly unexpected for an older cottage rental. The beach was beautiful, lots of opportunities to search for sea glass and Lucky Stones, and even fishing down at the pier. And most days the water was calm enough for hours of swimming. Despite the issues, we still had a wonderful stay. Hopefully the cleaners will take the issues addressed and give it a Covid-clean for the next renters!

Great stay for the three of us. Jody and Jeff provided lots of insight into the area. Local fishing, trip to Point Pelee, surfing the waves, relaxation and more...Nothing like a cottage on the beach!

This cottage is homey and just right for a relaxing getaway at the beach. The owners provide boogie boards, beach towels, and a fully equipped kitchen amongst other items you don't have to pack! We loved it!

The Beach is awesome. Great spot for a small group of friends or a family!

The stay was enjoyable as well as relaxing. The house was clean and well established with everything we needed for a trouble fee stay. The owners were there when we arrived and walked us through the rental and pointed out highlights of the rental. We would recommend this property and will rent again in the future.
