The location is great and a short walk into Fiskardo. It is lovely and peaceful and has some outside space which overlooks the sea and helps make for a relaxing stay.

What is not pointed out are the three steps down to the bathroom and then another another shallow step into the bedroom. Sadly we are of an age where this matters and both of us tripped up the bedroom step and narrowly avoided an accident. The bathroom is very tired and the shower is tiny with shower curtains that attach themselves to you!

We loved our stay at Amaryllis House - the location we felt was one of the best in Fiskardo - it is in a very peaceful area, elevated above the road through the village with a magnificent view across the bay towards Ithaca. However it is only a short and picturesque walk down to the centre of the village and harbour with numerous bars and restaurants The terrace of Amaryllis House is spacious and very well furnished with tables, chairs and comfortable sun beds. The house was beautifully presented, immaculately clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay - we would have no hesitation to return to Amaryllis House. A special you to Catherine - very quick response to any enquiries and for helping to arrange our airport transfer which was seamless and our driver was excellent.

bathroom needs some refurbishment. plug hole in the shower was damaged and just felt a bit dated.

Fabulous place- we would have stayed there for a month if we could! Fantastic location, peaceful spot with a lovely garden overlooking the bay but just a few minutes down to the harbour and all the restaurants. The cottage itself has everything you need for a long or short term stay, really well equipped kitchen, super comfy bed and lovely welcome basket and information booklet with loads of great local recommendations. Both the property manager and the family who owned the property were so lovely and helpful

The 9:30 a.m. check out time is the earliest I've ever encountered, especially for such a small place. We were able to get a 10:20 am check out but the housekeeper showed up at 9:30 anyway and stood outside the window yelling on her phone, which didn't make for a peaceful morning. The only bed is a bit small for two people, which means sleeping a little challenging. The owner's dog (or people in the other house) seems to bark quite a bit and no one was friendly or said hello, but the house was fine, the AC and the Wi-Fi work pretty well. At almost three hundred a night, we found it a bit overpriced but we were happy to find it on last-minute notice. It is a quaint little cottage, just make sure that you negotiate a later check out time where the housekeeper doesn't show up at 9:30 a.m. We could always hear the people in the house that's right above/behind this one, so it doesn't feel super private but it is lovely.
