After staying in cabins all week all over Alaska, it was nice to stay in a regular hotel. The food was good and the rooms were big, great, and clean. The location to all the activities couldn't be beat.

The price was extremely high. $400 a night was a lot for the stay.

Noisy very noisy. Could hear people in adjoining rooms late into the nights and when a wheeled suitcase was rolled in floor above it was horrible, like a train. I will never stay there again due to noise

The staff was friendly and helpful. It felt like it was beyond the normal exchange of just getting someone checked in. The room and location of the hotel as also great. I was able to walk to the boat tour and lots of food options were nearby.

Convenient clean and new

We were last minute searching for a hotel and Gateway Hotel caught my attention. I went ahead and booked online, and the process was very quick and easy. When we got there, it was a bit hard to find a good parking spot because the lot is a little small. However, that wasn’t a big deal. It was a very convenient location because my husband planned to fish right down the street. Upon checking in, the gentleman at the desk was very friendly and polite! He offered us a pull out bed at no charge, which I thought was so neat! We got our key cards and went to our room. It was very nice and clean, just a little smaller than what I had expected. The next morning, we got to witness such a gorgeous and breathtaking view of the sunrise! It was a great way to start the day. Breakfast was fine, I felt everything tasted a bit artificial, but it wasn’t terrible. Overall, my party and I enjoyed our stay. Gateway Hotel took great care of us and we will be back for sure! 😎

Facilities were very clean. The breakfast bar was fantastic. The location of the hotel was convenient for Port activities, hiking and downtown. Would stay there again.

Super nice hotel. Definitely the one to stay at when in Seward! We wanted to stay a second night but it wasn’t available. This is the place to stay.

Comfortable, clean, good location near the harbour.

Breakfast was great. A nice selection of cold and hot foods.

The decor was pretty spartan and looked more like a school cafeteria than a hotel.

The family suite was perfect for grandparents traveling with “kids” and grandkids. Laundry facilities right down the hall were handy to dry out clothing several times during our short but rainy stay. Transportation was ample but we could walk to most destinations. Breakfast served our needs perfectly. Desk clerk was helpful. Appreciated the motel storing our luggage so we could explore Seward before check in.

It was conveniently located, new, clean and had laundry facilities.

One person at the front desk was knowledgeable the other person was clueless. If you wanted service/information you had to wait for the person who knew what they were doing. It might have been a training situation.
