Clean, comfortable and good breakfast.
Had to use the fire exit at the back of the hotel to get in as the hotel is shut on a Sunday night. Would have been to have been able to get a drink at the hotel. Room small and no where to hang up clothes or draws to put them in.

Very clean room with great decor and good location
Not very good access out of hours, only 2 channels available on the tv and breakfast could have been improved on

Room too hot without obvious means to control temperature
Tight on space- no storage or wardrobe
Breakfast doesn’t start until 8am midweek. Too late for most business travellers
Host offered to open up at 7.30 but door from rooms wasn’t open so couldn’t even get a coffee!

Room was clean and staff were lovely
There was broken lats on the bed, the tea cups were not clean, the room was alot smaller than the pictures made it seem.
After midnight the bar door closes and you have to go to the back entrance, the sign on the door does not give the correct details on how to find the back door and it needs to be better signposted as there is no signs to show people where to go.

Lovely breakfast. I had eggs Florentine- delicious.
It would help if the venue gave clearer instructions about parking and how to access the property after hours.

Location good, place very trendy. Breakfast good also
Room was very small, no wardrobe. No iron in the room. No bath just small shower.

nothing as did not stay.
The whole place was not as expected or reviewed. Dark and dismissal on entrance and was more like a tap room than a hotel. Think the whole website needs re-writing. Did not stay and left as felt very let down.

Location and decor. Staff were really helpful too.
Our room had very limited ventilation, smelt a bit stale and was way too hot even with a fan as there was only a tiny window.
Cups in the room were filthy and if you get back after the front door is shut ( 10.30 on Sunday) you have to go down a lane and up fire stairs in the dark and try to open the back door with a fob that sporadically works ..

Fabulous room with amazing decor. Excellent food, cocktails and brunch.
The staff were wonderful- welcoming, friendly, efficient and extremely helpful throughout our stay - a big thank you to them all! Highly recommended - we will definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, very helpful and pleasant staff, comfortable room, great bar facilities.
The bath in the room was a novelty but I would still prefer a shower also in the en-suite. The bath was quite small so hair washing was an experience!

Very brief stay but the hotel was nice. Only had a drink at the bar but it was pleasant. Very helpful and friendly staff person who checked me in
Dust and cobwebs in the room. Someone’s old toothbrush on the floor behind nightstand. Room was in good shape and wasn’t really dirty but rather looked like it hadn’t been used for a bit and could have done with a quick spruce up before guests arrived.

Great location, fab food and good selection of beverages

Staff were great.
The room was noisy all night people in and out their rooms until 5am and near the exit door the door went all night long. There was a dirty sock in our room and hair from a previous guest in the bathroom and dressing table.

The location was excellent as it is right on the main street in Morpeth so ideal for bars, shops and restaurants. It's also in a bar that serves food and excellent cocktails so you really don't need to leave. The bath tub in the room looks amazing, and the rocking horse
The room was full of spiders and cobwebs, even in very obvious places. It is located right on the main roundabout in Morpeth so very noisy, not ideal for a quiet night if that's what you're looking for, especially when it's warm and you need to leave the windows open. There is a dressing table in the room, but there is no lighting anywhere near it so totally unusable to apply make-up etc. Had to ask for toilet roll as we were only left a 1/4 roll. There is only coat hooks and 2 hangers for clothes storage. Bed was creaky/loose and mattress was soft and lumpy. Toilet is very cramped and felt like it was tipping you off. As the bar closes at 12am, if you want to stay out later you will need to enter through a door at the rear on the first floor up a fire escape and through a residential cul-de-sac, we chose to ensure we were in ahead of 12am, just because we weren't sure about finding our way in the dark and rain. Rooms are located on the first and second floors and there are only stairs, so make sure you travel light and can make the climb. The price, £192 for one night, I've stayed in better/cleaner/well located places for half of that

Helpful staff
Room quite small, no hanging facilities, no view

There is a bit of style over substance here. Brilliant staff, good location, nice food, free parking fairly close by.
poor use of space in our room, bathroom tiny, toilet seat flimsy and poorly fitted, no chairs, tv in poor location, wifi terribad in the evening (shared with pub?), noisy street outside, no breakfast!! Big bathtub in the room, pretty but waste of space, full size rocking horse in the room, pretty but terrible waste of space

The location was good and cocktails in the bar were lovely also bar staff brilliant.
Full length of window wall covered in cobwebs and dead flies.Half eaten bar of chocolate bedside drawer empty shower bottle in shower tray.Awful smell coming from the bath like drains.

stunning bath in the king room
very expensive for one night

Handy location, free parking a 5-10 minute walk away. Evening with the bar downstairs, the rooms above are well sound proofed .
Given it does not include breakfast, nor is there air conditioning, or an in room fridge, the price is quite high.
Equally, hot water for the shower is not constant, and seemed to only be available 8:30 onwards, so if you’re after a prompt start. Then think again. Also downstairs bar does not open till 10, so checking out. Any issues you’d have to hang around

Excellent location and decor of the room.
A little noisy with road traffic directly outside of window.

This was our wedding night stay
No complimentary water in room and it was stifelling hot even with a fan. Awful trying to find the back door took us 20 mins!

The location is good, plenty to do in the area
Room was a bit small with only a tiny window. Lamps were out of place far to big for room, nowhere to hang towels.

Beautiful hotel, decor was amazing! Cocktails were lovely! Bath in room was fantastic!
The room was extremely hot so we did not spend much time in it as was unbearable during the day. We had to use the fan all night but sadly had a poor nights sleep due to how hot it was. The cold tap in the bathroom was tepid so we also couldn’t access any water through the night to cool down either. The room was facing the sun so probably little the hotel could do to manage this issue in summer. I’d recommend the hotel leaving some bottles of water for guests, and maybe an extra fan for both guests to keep cool.
