super cute hotel about a 7 minute drive from downtown stowe. very comfy, solid wifi, and they had a restaurant popup happening in the bar which was delicious. wish i brought my swimsuit because the pool and sauna looked very nice!

We visited end of summer so for us the location of the property was perfect. 5 min drive into stowe and close to the waterfalls and walks. It also had a bad and a outdoor area - with a hot tub, fire pits etc.

The room could have had a bit more storage and we found there weren’t many lights. This may have been because we got the smallest room.

Nice rejuvenation of an old hotel. Fun bar in lower level.

Lots of noise (party in evening, construction in morning and dog barking in afternoon). Our complaints were initially dismissed/minimized. It took a lot of arguing before mgmt refunded one night.

It was so clean and a great atmosphere to stay in.

I enjoyed my time and liked everything about our stay but I wish there was one more mirror in the room.

The place is fantastic: kind and accommodating staff, clean rooms, amazing facilities and the simplicity of the design and concept is very appealing...if you are of Scandi and Japandi design fan- this place is for you. thank you!

The rooms were clean. The hotel grounds were nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. Request for close rooms was accommodated. Good location.

The rooms are quite small. No drawers to store clothing. Other guests are easily heard from inside room.

Dinner offered in pop-up Japanese restaurant was horrible and a rip-off. After spending $65 for a few bites of tasteless food and two drinks, we had to find a place in town to eat a decent meal. Given first room next to the lobby.

Coffee bar

As a dog owner I didn't appreciate dogs staying in hotel in common area. There should be a part of hotel for people traveling with dogs. I go on vacation to take a break from real life !! That just me. And my bed was made daily . The wall had coffee stain by garbage can that was not created by me !!!

The outdoor area is very nice.

Staff leave at 9pm, and people were very loud at night. The rooms are expensive for their value - small and need a little work done.

Nice outdoor jacuzzi, nice communal seating area. Really great free coffees. Sauna and indoor swimming pool. we had two rooms, one with bunk beds for the kids and one with a queen bed for the adults. rooms are very modern and cozy with small outdoor seating area. Great shower and soaps.

Talta Lodge is a great place to stay while visiting Stowe for skiing. Located literally halfway between the downtown area of Stowe (intersection of routes 100 and 108) and the lifts for Mount Mansfield, Talta Lodge provides easy access to the slopes, as well as restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries in the area. The hotel has a modern decor, which sits perfectly with the beautiful surroundings at the back of the property. While the hotel faces the busy route 108, the property is far enough from the road that one does have the sensation of being on a roadside property, and the back of the hotel faces a beautiful wooded area with a stream flowing to complete the landscape. The indoor swimming pool and sauna are a wonderful feature after a day on the slopes. From the indoor pool you can see the wooded area and the stream which creates a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are modern, new, beds and sheets are clean and the property spotless. The common areas, upstairs in the reception area, and downstairs in the lounge/bar area, are a great place to hang out, read a book, or enjoy a beer in front of the fireplace. I would definitely go back to Talta in a return trip to Stowe.

The bathrooms are a bit on the small size, and while many rooms feature two queen beds, the room gets a bit crowded even for a couple and a child. The music in the lounge downstairs felt a bit too loud when you are in the lounge during quiet hours, and while it serves well to provide a background noise when several guests are using the lounge, it can be distracting when one is trying to read a book. Turning the knob a few notches down wouldn't hurt. While Talta Lodge is a great place to stay, the prices do suffer from the "Stowe effect", and seem to be on the "pricey" end by the fact that this is Stowe, with all the wealthy visitors from Boston and NYC inflating the market.

Nice spacious room, good facility has everything you need for a ski trip, good location loved the hot tub even if you have to walk in literal mud to get to it

$300+ a night and they didn’t make my room….

not enough parking

Perfect base for a ski tip. Loved having the patio and a sauna and hot tub for after a day on the slopes. Beds were comfy and the coffee is amazing!

There was no window in the room at all. I am a hot sleeper and need the ventilation. The only option would be to leave the patio door cracked which did not feel safe.

heat wasn’t working in hotel room . The first night had no heat after the power went out about 15 min after . I was under the impression because the extreme cold weather this was expected and heat would go on . Found out the next day the thermostat was out of batteries and needed guest to apply pressure on the wall to work or read temperature ( this should be addressed , not sure how anyone would no that ) they also had ductless heater in room that was blasting cold air . Bedding had a few dark hairs on it and even after telling front desk not cleaned and replaced .
