Plenty of room to defuse with family after long day at beach, on water, touring and shopping in Bayfield/Apostle Islands.

Appreciated presence of Smoke detectors. Would add to rental description. Also appreciated charcoal grill.

Our group of 6 stayed her for 2 nights. We went kayaking on Lake Superior. Good location for that, quiet, peaceful, sleeps several, close to town. The negatives: the place has cob webs all over, fur on the ceiling fans, sticky stuff on cupboards. Nobal was great to work with, with a good Top to bottom cleaning It would be great.

The house just had no appeal. There was a bad smell when you walked in that stayed throughout the house. The layout was chopped up, so that there was no comfortable place for the six of us to gather. We ended up using kitchen chairs to watch tv and talk. The single bathroom really made things hard. Thank goodness it was a congenial group. We all felt it was way overpriced for what it offered. No one was interested in sitting outside because of the bugs. There was one tiny tray of ice cubes in the freezer. Linens had seen better days. Beds creaked, window air conditioners were noisy and ineffective. It seemed no attempt had been made to make things comfortable or attractive. A great big disappointment. We'll probably laugh about it in the future, but for all these reasons, it was not fun to stay there.

This house is comfortable, charming, and clean. The house is friendly. Lots of space. Beautiful woodwork throughout.

Thankful to find a place large enough to accommodate our large family. We enjoyed breakfast with the large windows and reading books in the living area.

The place worked great for 6 people. My only thought is more seating in the fireplace room for a group to sit and talk. Thank you again!!!

Had a great time with the family for a couple of days. My teenage daughter even complimented the house’s “viby aesthetic.” We greatly appreciated the sauna after cold swims in Lake Superior. The property manager was amazing and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

John’s place was perfect for our stay. It’s on a super quiet road but still relatively close to town. He was very communicative and generous. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. There’s a beautiful setup on the back deck overlooking the woods.

Quiet location, close to town.
Loved the decor/ art. Just a cool little house!
We spent most of our time by the fire on the back patio area. Was the perfect place to stay with a baby- usually we camp but having a one month old with us we wanted the comfort of a home.

Great property for Ice Fishing
Warm wood heat to take out the chill along with a steamy sauna that gets hot, this place was great for a group of ice fisherman!! Clise to town yet private at night!! Only suggestion is to add a bring a coffe maker, even thoughthe French press did work fine. Owner responds immediately on any questions.

Beautiful property and very quiet. Sauna was a nice treat after a long day of ice fishing! John was a great host as well.

Perfect cabin for a weekend getaway! The property was clean and very welcoming. We loved spending time in the sauna as well!

Perfect weekend reset
Great weekend getaway with an amazing sauna that overlooks the woods, cozy wood burning stove, and a fun property to explore. The house is comfortable and warm. Host was great at communication and check-in and out process. Most memorable part of our stay was watching a fox track through the woods from the sauna on our last morning.
