Good location, easy access to DC. This basement bedroom well maintained, the host was also nice to us.

The area was spacious with a bedroom, small bathroom, living space/kitchen and a small side room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. It was thoughtfully decorated with artwork and paintings on the walls, decorative furnishings and pillows, and interesting furniture. The host seemed very friendly.

We were supposed to stay 7 nights and left early on our first morning so had to spend extra money to find somewhere else for the additional 6 nights. Our first impression of the property was that it smelt incredibly strongly of cigarettes which after a few hours left us with awful headaches and the clothes we wore after stank for a few days after until we got somewhere with facilities to do our washing. Despite the washing facilities, we did not want to do our washing there as felt they'd end up smelling awful so cannot comment on how well they work. When cooking dinner that evening we noticed that some of the cookware was not very clean and ended up washing up before we used anything and wiping down surfaces. The kitchen was very basic but functional though the microwave looked a bit precarious on a kitchen shelf. We decided to stick it out a night and woke up feeling quite unwell from the smell. I went to make breakfast and noticed a number of ants in the sink where I'd left my plate to be washed up from the night before. When going to shower, there were water marks all over as if the tiles hadn't been cleaned and the bath felt gritty so I didn't feel it had been cleaned very well. Myself and my partner have both come away with a couple of Insect bites however, this may be from the walk we took in the evening to get some fresh air. Also to note: not shown in the photographs is a large staircase to the side of the kitchen. It is blocked off with a variety of items and a large box at the stop but does feel a little open as if someone could come down. We had gotten used to it by the morning but it was a bit unnerving initially as when people walked around upstairs, it really sounded like someone was about to come downstairs. Obviously you can't remove stairs but would have felt better if we'd been told in advance or it had been blocked off a bit better.

No meals involved, but perfect for our needs. My Navy son from Norfolk with his wife came for an overnight visit to Arlington. A convenient location, clean and comfortable and perfect for their two little dogs. I highly recommend this property. Savriti, the owner and hostess, was extremely amicable and considerate.

The location was perfect for me, between the airport and city center. What impressed me most was the friendly and gracious host. I had advised that I would be arriving very late, which she could accommodate, and she even met me in person despite the late hour.
