The property was clean and tidy and looked newly decorated. Upstairs bedroom had a very low ceiling. Location was excellent.

Living area/kitchen was a wee bit on the small side. Dining for 4 was tricky! Struggled to find internet password. Heating was incorrectly programmed. No lids on pots! Unsuitable kitchen utensils. Tried to communicate with the "owner" - didn't respond until I went through Booking.com. Simple problems could have been resolved if someone had visited early on. Pillow Partners address is in Dundonald 5 miles away.

We loved this cottage. It was right near the beach. Troon is a beautiful little town with friendly people. The cottage was so clean and comfortable. We would love to come again!

beautifully furnished, very comfortable inside, great location, very homely

the outdoor furniture (grey) wasn’t set up, the back garden area isn’t useable. it was very sunny and I’m the furniture in the front garden wasn’t comfortable to use. the heating is on a timer, we struggled to over ride it from the instructions and we were really cold going to bed at night

The property was advertised as dog friendly, but it wasn't. No backdoor at all and the front had a nice enclosed garden except for the gate - there was no gate and so dogs could not be let out. Water release knob in the bath did not work and I had to prize it open with a knife to let water flow away after each bath. No bulb in the downstairs bedroom meaning that we had to feel our way to the bed. Clocks hadn't been put forward. Very few pans to cook with and the draining area at the sink was almost non-existent meaning that couldn't wash so much at any one time, so pointless trying to cook in the house. We had to eat out. The bath was to small to have a proper relaxing bath.

In the high winds a draft was come above the front door

Parking a bit difficult at times

So central for walking everywhere in Troon, spotlessly clean, fantastic facilities.

Only one small thing, the bedroom upstairs has sloping ceilings and we forgot a couple of times snd bent down to unplug something and bumped our heads. Maybe if this was painted another colour it would act as a reminder? It didn’t spoil our stay but have a couple of near misses.
