Good size & location

Curtain rail fell out of wall onto lamp, when we looked the rail was being held by matchsticks. Could have hurt someone had they been underneath it. I looked around the property and various other curtain poles are hanging on and not fitted correctly. The bed was so hard and again when we looked all the slats are broken and a thin peice of board has been put in place but only fits half way. There is a couch in the front room which my son sat on and feel straight through, again broken slats leaving large voids the cushion falls through. Stale smell of smoke and the carpet smells like the same hoover has been used years and never cleaned. Overall disappointing. Hosts attitude is to blame others and took no accountability for any of the things mentioned. He also said it was our fault the lamp broke when it was his own unfitted curtain pole that fell out on to the lamp. I tried to explain the pole was bring held in by matchsticks again no apology at all.

The location was superb for our work assignment

The first impression when you arrive is that the house is unkempt and not in good repair. There were quite a few things that would not be described as luxurious. e.g. the shower in the main bathroom is not fitted to the wall safely or correctly, a dishwasher is provided, but no tablets are left. Curtains don't meet so on a summer's evening there is no way to shut out bright sunshine.

great location with plenty of room for five of us to stay. comfortable front room as well with plenty of room to sit around and catch up.

parking is not the easiest to find and driveway was an ice rink so was difficult to get parked.

the parking wasn’t explained well enough.. after parking illegally and running thru the alley near it we found out there was in-fact a concealed off road back entrance and the welcome folder kept referring to “in this pack” except there wasn’t anything else in the pack!!! and so it took us a little longer to work out the heating etc
