Staff was very friendly. Had easy parking. It was clean and had comfortable beds and pillows. Although the shower head was tiny it done it's job. Could definitely use an upgrade on the shower head. But other then that breakfast was good and the stay was nice and quiet.

It was a nice place to stay for a couple of days. The bathroom was really small and there were no elevators. But for us it was fine.

Our stay was great. Breakfast in the mornings was excellent as well. A variety of items so it pleases everyone. I'm not a coffee drinker so I'll add that you should offer a hot chocolate for those that want a warm drink in the morinng. This hotel was close to shops and restaurants that were great as well. I would stay here again if I make it back to this resort area.

On check in i realized that i did not request a 1st floor room. I have a handicapped child travelling with me who cannot navigate stairs. The lodge had me booked on the 2nd floor, but they scrambled to meet my needs. They were wonderful and i cannot thank them enough for their care and consideration.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and I found the hotel clean. The pool was being updated and was not open which I was not aware of. Breakfast was eggs, sausage patties, biscuits for the hot stuff and the usual bread, cereal and pastries with no complaints about that. Room was a little small but overall a good stay

Carpet heavily worn with large wrinkles in it, uncomfortable bed that sloped toward head of bed, thermostat display unreadable so no ability to control room temperature, no elevator to upper floors so had to stay on main level, window curtain torn and dirty. Will not return to this property.

Dirty, dated rooms. We saw a roach within minutes of entering our room. WiFi worked intermittently and required connecting in the lobby before returning to our room (as suggested by the staff). Rooms were very cluttered with extra furniture leaving very little space.

This motel is fine I guess. This was the only one that had availability. Nothing really particularly wrong except that this should be about $80 per night, but because of what is essentially surge pricing, I had to pay $225 for the night.

The staff was excellent and so polite. It is an outdated hotel but was clean. I would stay here again. They were working on the pool so I have no comments on that but it was close enough to downtown banner elk without being in downtown traffic. Food lion was just up the road

Upon arrival, the husband of the front desk clerk was greeting guest!!! Note at front desk-Senior Discount. Because I booked thru a 3rd party, not available!!! As I went to park my vehicle, broken glass in parking lot outside my door. The man from the lobby was walking by and I asked him if he worked there , he reply - my wife does. She cleaned up the glass. If you wanted your room cleaned, you put your towels outside your door. I thought this was a motel not a long stay facility!!!! Another guest in the dining room was trying to find the attendant at least 7 time either at the kitchen door or front desk. Finally, someone showed up. Great customer sercice. I paid a pretty good rate for a substandard motel!!! The only thing good was the lobby!!! I will never consider a Best Western again!!! Oh, by the way - I have been in the hospitality business and customer service industry for many years!!!!

LOVE Banner Elk, MOTEL can use some work.
The property itself is quite lovely, and in a great area. The rooms open to the outside and there are no elevators which can cause issue if you have a ton of luggage or have physical restrictions.
The rooms are typical hotel rooms, beds are comfy, AC isn’t great, and hot water is unpredictable. They only clean the room if you stay more than 4 nights so towels and trash pile up. The towels are more like gauze so it takes a few per shower.
Breakfast is decent but the nightly front desk staff could use some training on friendliness.
We’d stay here again but it’s not a great value for the cost.
