Our stay at the Hyatt Place was excellent. The location was near the event we had to attend and also to see family. The hotel is well maintained with a very clean foyer, rooms, and restaurant area. Parking at the hotel was convenient.

Not a great room layout, no mirror outside of the bathroom, and no body lotion. Decent location for our needs, but the room had a view of the street which doesn’t offer much privacy. Also, food and drinks don’t start until 5 PM. It would have been nice if it opened at four.

The property is brand new it is beautiful. We are dinner at the bar and it was reasonably priced. The breakfast bar was very good plenty of options. We were very satisfied with the experience. Quick easy parking on the property.

I would highly recommend this hotel with the caveat that you ask what view you have. We had a blank wall of the building nextdoor.
That being said I would give this Hyall 6 stars for cleanliness if it were available. The breakfast is very nice with several options, including several hot dishes. The parking garage is clean and tidy (no litter here!). There's a small "cafe" that serves cocktails and drinks as well as a short list of warm foods. All the staff were very kind and welcoming.
Also, I must mention how quiet the rooms are considering that the Hyatt is located on a main thoroughfare in San Carlos.

Overall, we had a very nice stay. I was disappointed that our only window was frosted glass, so we had no way to look outside. I didn’t like that, and had never seen that before throughout all of the hundreds of hotels I’ve stayed at. Also, the walls were bare, which gave a the room a cold, and less than cozy appearance and feel. I needed body lotion when I arrived, and thought for sure there would be a small bottle in the bathroom, but apparently Hyatt Place does not provide that-but you should.

I was put in a room with view of a mop bucket. Pretty tacky. The manager offered to move me the next day, but the room was very quiet so we stayed. The bucket is still there.
